This group brings so many memories back from my childhood. Watching them on Sunday mornings on Gospel Singing Jubilee. I know that Vestal and Howard are dead now.. sad.. but isn't Heaven brighter !! Howard reminds me of my father.. :) love this!!

This was at the All Day Sining at the Dome in Atlanta in 1998, I had the priviledge of being there from 10am till after midnight, what a blessing, I'll never forget this as later that year the old greats started passing. Something I will remember all my life and what a belssing it was.

Vestal and Howard Goodman sang for the Lord for over fifty years. Now all of the original members of the Goodman family have graduated into the Heavenly Kingdom that each one sang about so faithfully. May we all gather around the tree of life to hear thier sweet talented voices blend into a harmonious eternal song of praise!!

The Happy Goodman's were iconic in the world of Southern Gospel Music in the 60's and 70's. With Bill Gaither's Homecoming series, their ministry had a resurgence in the 90's and 2000. Vestal was the "Queen of Gospel Music" and the Happy Goodman Family received several Grammy and Dove awards. Sadly, all members of the group have passed with Vestal's untimely death in Dec. 2003 from complication of the flu.
