Damn Man. I just got through watching Roger and Pete play acoustically at the after party in the superbowl. After messing with this on my own, I watched Pete Townsend start to burn out on his J200 a little further than I got before I fell apart. This is one TOUGH song to play solo acoustic. Your fingers must be strong as anything.

Are you pressing down on the top string with your thumb or muting it?

That's exactly what I wondered, but since that string does not sound during the song, he is most likely muting it, so that back and forth strumming doesnt accidentally sound surrounding strings, that arent meant to be played. try it, it works.

@DAROMSninja Right, though on all of the tabs I have read they show the top string being played. They are even a few lessons on youtube that teach it as well. Its really hard using your thumn, for me anyways.
