Shiba Inu Fishing

My first akita introduced me to this rare, brilliant creature. We had a farm and several dogs. When we went to a large national park one day we went to a remote area, on a small lake. All of the dogs reacted to the water differently. Some plunged right in and some weren't interested in going in at all. But Angel was the only one who went in and immediately started to hunt. She had great fun trying to catch the fish moving through the weeds.

@kkwebvids99 Have you tried introducing yours to shallow puddles and then progressively getting a little deeper? It's worked for us! Last week I threw Moshi in a deep pond and he quickly swam out but proceeded to go back!

Him and his Jack Russell chum spent 5 hours faffing about in water! And he slept for 3 days solid afterwards!

I have a black and tan named Maisy from the Concord area. She (and I) live in Seattle now, with her buddy Kumanosuke (a 130 Lb. Akita). She really digs fishing stuff out of the kiddie pool too. It's a riot. Thanks for sharing!
