  • 3:22 david remembers old days

  • youtube.com/watch?v=sut36eGGTZI

  • Audio's terrible

  • @DarKool81 this is mtv man, what can you expect?

  • PT1????? You missed out the first part you twat!

  • @iowdave he mixed up p1 with p2

  • wish the audio was better!

  • this is the History of the music... no way

  • This is the History of the music....no way

  • what song is it the first 30 secs? don't recognize it

  • @elinmagg It's the ending of Money.

  • R.I.P Rick.

    Pink Floyd forever!

  • Marvellous to have Roger performing Comfortably Numb again with the others

    Hallelujah

  • It was Midnight when these guy played, but it was sure worth it--the emotional experience for all--to be together--one last time together on stage.

  • beatiful girl at 0:45

  • no, the guy who posted this got part 1 and 2 backwards, part 2 is actually part 1.

  • I saw this live... :)

  • lucky :(

  • Did MTV just half-ass this or what. Don't tell me that just cut-in live in the middle of "Money", that had to be a real dick move.

  • they're on christina and lady gaga...

  • Wish you were her is from Wish you were here

  • If Syd saw this on tv, I think he must have been sad.

  • whats the point of uploading this music video and then having no sound at all.

  • Gilmour..7:17. Epic eheh

  • At least we got to see the Floyd reunite once before Rick passed on. Always wished the Beatles could have as well but here the floyd got together and sound as amazing as only they can when they are all together.

  • where's the end?

  • exactly! thanks for the upload but cutting out at the start of the comfortly numb solo is wank!!!

  • amazing

  • The first is "Wish you were here" from the omonimous album;the second is "Comfortably Numb" from "the Wall"

  • how these two songs are called?

  • 5:41 - 8:02

    Lighters anyone?

  • it's amazing how dave's voice is still spot on

  • The only bad thing about watching PF videos is all the negativity about Waters and Gilmour that people still write instead of enjoying these moments of seeing all 4 of them together, and for a good cause.

  • do you know exactly what happened between these two?

  • There are so many stories , MaximusDowns, only the 4 of them know, but I was always a Floyd fan and still don't know the whole thing. But I think the 2 of them were equally at fault somehow, however, I still love them as much now as I did back in the day, and what days they were. Great music !!

  • Don't mean to further the discussion, but it seems to me like Waters was taking over ALL the songwriting for the band, and on top of that wanted to kick Rick out. Can't really blame Dave for hating him, although I'm sure Dave has been overly bitter about it over the years.

  • If you want to know most of it read the book Comfortably Numb by Mark Blake

  • Yeah thats true. but I'm sure in the back of all their hearts the Floyd means alot to them and Roger did kind of get egotistical about Rick. Roger knows HE is Pink Floyd but the others are so much more a part then he could realize at the time. RIP Richard Wright. I'm sure Roger regrets his treatment of the guys now. But still it was Dave that could not let of the bitterness. I don't blame him but at least we have this performance

  • @Brrrrr43 That's because Waters was an asshole!

  • @ladymindful I agree!

never the less, waters wrote a lot of good songs!

but I still go with Gilmour!

  • @sigma407 - You are very right about Waters' song writing ability. He did write some wonderfully strange and beautiful songs. But he was so mean to the rest of the band, esp Rick Wright, who in the end was so pleased to be a part of David's band when he put out On An Island and did his tour. I'm glad he did since he died so young. Waters has a prob w/his dad dying in the wat and never seeing him.

  • @Brrrrr43 the last performance ever

  • @Brrrrr43 Fuck you......and David Gilmour!

  • Funny thing is, Pink Floyd used to be called The Meggadeaths.

  • Spot on! Indeed they were ... it's funny your comment gets thumbs down when you are just stating the truth.

Pink Floyd is and forever will be a monument in the music world. Noone can recreate Wright's fingers on the ivories, Mason's drumming, Water's songwriting and Gilmour's heart and soul guitar solos ... heck even Barret's antics :P

  • sadly I dont know that much about pink floyd, but i do know that they have the greatest music in the world and i wish i was able to see one of they'r concert's when rick was still allive

    R.I.P Rich

  • Pink floyd - Megadeth??? Peoples, are you stupid????? WFT

  • why even compare pink floyd to megadeth. pink floyd and megadeth are completely different. megadeth is for metalheads.

  • pink floyd is bvetter

  • they sound perfect what an awesome performance

  • pink floyd rule megadeath suck donkey balls

  • but roger wrote all thoses nices songs of pink floyd, what pink floyd did after roger left the band ???

  • i love gilmour's smile at mason when Waters is singing.... priceless

  • Ciao Richard

  • they still sound great. I mean come on, their older but the music they performed is already in all of our minds anyways; we can tap into it any time. I celebrate Pink Floyd's entire catalog and am thankful they stayed together with Gilmour. DG rules, admit it.

  • I would pay top dollar to see the original band play just one show.... I would fly wherever they went. I'm sorry I missed this show. RIP Syd!

  • rip rich on keys too! never gonna happen again. roger don't get on with the others. shame.

  • No one can replase Roger Waters!

  • like it says no more excuses ppl blame gilmore for the fued or what ever but remember it was waters the walked out on the band and went solo and david kept the band alive for another 10yrsand has had a number 1 album and cd in the uk and while i've been a bigger roger waters fan then david its evident that david is pink floyd i mean without david's guitar c numb dont sound quite right but cant realli blame david for doin what roger orginaly did to him and thats leavin the other 1 high and dry

  • but the fans want this tour to happen so i think in the end we will have this tour even if its not a full blow tour i think we'll get 6months in the usa and 6months in the uk but only in certain citys and the dates will be spread out

  • was that sid barret?

  • i love gilmore's voice

  • who the hell doesnt? and his guitar tone, its so damn clean you almost get lost in it. thats why he's one of the greatest guitarist of all time.

  • their music will never die

  • Pink Floyd RIP too.

  • Pink floyd will live in hearts of their many fans for the ages. No future band could ever compete with this. Period

  • RIP Rick Wright

  • This was epic

  • rick de gitti işte...rip

  • Yay up da Floyd!

  • mtv sucks

  • Yep, they were watching the true legends of our time!...fucking warriors of music!

  • MTV really dropped the ball on the coverage of Live 8. Cutting to commercial during the solo in "Comfortably Numb" and missing out on seeing the band posing for pics afterwards.

  • 'Oh,it is just some Gilmour's noise.Let's cut it up'

  • MTV to music is KFC to chicken. YUK!

  • I myself enjoy the way waters sings the song alot more. more soulful and he puts everything into it

  • actually waters was incredible in this version

  • da fuck r u talkin about...he's da mastermind behind pink floyd..without him we wouldnt have "dark side of da moon", "wish you were here" "animals" "the wall" etc...if u cant see dat then ur just crazy man

  • I wonder how many people at that show took for granted the fact they were witnessing a moment in history? How many of those people in the audience didn't really understand that they were just watching LEGENDS? (little children, babies and young teens don't count)

  • I hope they do realize, yes. I'm 16 years old and god I wish I was there. They performed together for the first time in 24 years or so, which is incredible.

  • I was there and trust me I knew :)

  • all these years and still badass
