I understand the point you are trying to make. UFC fighters are not freelance, they are under contract. Their contractor does not provide insurance for them even though they have a very dangerous job. Insurance for a fighter would be through the roof, the lower level fighters either cannot afford it or simply choose not to get it based on its expense. When dana was tito's manager he pushed for things like insurance for fighters and higher pay- as soon as he got stock options all that changed
