The mountain looks and sounds like a real beauty, but I find myself wondering how any of you can afford this stuff! My experience is that the bigger the trains are, the more expensive it gets.
Well worth the visit in Holliston, Mass. Their anual steam run in August with full kitchen makes their steam runs a wonderful experience. Plenty of tracks in the area, if you get in contact with some, you will find there is a "circuit" of sorts, in which for one month after this run there are others you can run on as well. Next would be Pioneer Live Steamers also of Mass., the Adirondack Livesteamers of NY, followed by Short Time Lines in Waldoboro, Maine
that was a nice railroad. i was up there with my carl purinton designed 2-6-0,i am also a member of the pennsylavania live steamers which is where i keep my 0-6-0 switcher and a pacific.i hope to bring those 2 engines up sometime
Oh this is wayyy cool!!!... riding on a train that small. Well it can't be actually steam driven, else I'd see billowing smoke. So is DC supplied to the rails? If so, then is the current at a dangerous level? Is this 1/10 scale, meaning, 5.65" gauge?
Amazing railroad! Looks like there was a lot of traffic on the line. I'm sure this was a really fun experience.

This is the real thing, a coal fired, live steam locomotive.

"watchdog68".. These are not electric. They are run on steam, hence why the title of the video says "Live Steamers."
