I am an English soccer fan and I think it's great to see the MLS expanding and getting better every year. All real football fans from around the world would like to see the MLS keep improving because America is the only major nation yet to fully embrace the game.
I would agree the standard is about low Championship/ Div 1 English standard at the moment but it was more like Div 3 10 years ago. It also seems to be a very professionally run league as far as club owners and league admin goes.

players wind down their careers in the USA. beckham couldn't stand the slow pace and lack of physicality - basically it was 2 easy for him. his body fat wen playin in the MLS was 15.6%
back in italy for ac milan, it was down to 8.9%. that just shows u the tempo and fludity of european football.

your country can't even qualify for the euro's, its amongst the worst footballing countries in the world and its your national sport, how sad. Its our number 5 or 6 sport but we are still amongst the top 15 in the world. Players only go to europe for money, when MLS grows they will offer competitive wages and then the players will chose to live in USA over miserable rainy england.

England are ranked 9th in the world and the USA are 17th. u r only 17th despite having to play nations like guatemala and honduras. we are 9th and we played recently spain, croatia and ukraine. the english premier league is the most watched, fastest and most physical league on the planet. like i said, players with long term injuries wind up in the MLS wen they're careers r coming to an end. would u hav seen ljunberg at 25 in the MLS?

Haha, "does he get an assist for that?". The commentators should learn abit more about "soccer". It's maximum 1 assist in soccer and of course you can never assist yourself. Pretty good and easy goal though. The MLS is getting better for each year.
And how you pronounce his name, In swedish you say "Jungberj". "Youngberg" is how the most commentators pronounce it though.

I'm a swede, and I'd say that the only way to pronounce his last namer properly in english would be to just say "Young-berg". That should do it. Loon-berg just seems weird... and really wrong. Check out some of the youtubeclips with swedish intl games and swedish commentary and you'll see.
