  • FREDRIK LJUNGBERG - LEGEND!

  • Where's the passion from the fans?

  • @fz92 are you dumb?, the fans are of the red team, the green team just scored.

  • @wade2bosh I'm talking about the away fans, I barely hear I thing...

  • @fz92 LOL one day I would love to see American football hooligans throwing chairs at each other in the stands

  • That goal reminds me of many Arsenal goals with Henry..

  • hopefully he tells lennon thers a good striker call fredy montero at sounders we should look at !

  • hopefully a nightmare on copeland rd for the huns hail hail!

  • another swedish hero in the making fuck those scummy orange fannys

  • he is now playing infront of the best fans in the world ! cmon freddie score against these hun bastards on sunday

  • welcome to paradise freddie.score against the huns and you will be a hero.get it round you orange bastards.

  • American commentators always fail so hard

  • That was classic Freddie

  • "does he get an assist for that" silly American commentators

  • Freddie is better without the Sounders, and the the Sounders are better without Freddie.

  • @BradyCortez ever heard of a rhetorical question?

  • @clockend83 yeh those were the days

  • I read recently that he was playing at West Ham with a broken hip, it was only discovered when he went to the U.S.

  • Isn't there anymore videos of him scoring? or as he even not score anyh more goals in the mls than this? ^^

  • lol at the commentators, "does he get an assist for that" like its hockey and you count 2 assists.

  • lol American commentators.

  • "does he get an assist for that?" lol

  • the person who passed to him gets..

  • american comentators suck, haha. btw i'm from sweden 2

  • Why do they suck more than any other commentators? Muppett

  • @Lasermannen because dickhead, he said'' does he get an assist for that?'' what dickhead asks such an question.??

  • @thefunkyfunkyfresh What kind of dickhead can't understand a rhetorical question?

  • lova ljungberg!!! I'm from sweden!

  • good for freddy, raising the prfile of footie in my homeland gets him a big thumbs up IMO

  • freddie wat a player he was for arsenal scored in nearly every match or had somethink to do with the goal he was a class player for arsenal a key player to.. good luck in the mls

  • Freddie an Arsenal legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the English Championship is actually the 4th most sucseful league in Europe in terms of revenue/attendances/competive. i work for a sporting publisher and the facts are that the english championship is doing better than Italy top league at the monent

    1. Engligh premier league, England

    2. Premiera leagua, spain

    3. Bundasliga, Germany

    4. Coca Cola championship, England

    5. Seria A, Italy

  • la liga is better now than the prem, in my opinion

but i like the coca cola championship XD

  • @zizou19844 wel ur just weird then lol

  • Check out our videos of a Sounders FC fan's gameday experience! We hope you enjoy them! Scarves up!!!

  • We love you Freddie.

Can't wait to see you in rave green again next year!

  • Im glad to see that the MLS is gradually growing, hope it takes upon football and basketball soon, baseball can stay

  • i love ljungberg with a passion... a beast on his day

  • he is going comeback to arsenal

  • Good Luck in the US Open Cup tomorrow Freddie!!!!!!!!!

  • He seems to be playing the same offensive role as he did for Arsenal between 1998-2004. During his last years at Arsenal he played a much tougher defensive role on the midfield as he also did when he played for his national side. Either way he's always been a fantastic player. He will be missed by Arsenal-and Sweden fans.

  • He mostly played left winger in the nationalteam since Sweden didnt have any natural one on that position.

  • para el es perfecto jugar en estados unidos, ya que trabaja como modelo y juega futbol, es considerado uno de los tipos mas sexis del mundo, bine por el man.

  • FREDDY?? DID HE CHANGE HIS NAME?

  • his name is Fredrik and will always be xD Freddie, freddy, ljungberg or whatever you want to call him is just nicknames. Everyone has their own :) I call him Ljungberg.

  • det låter fett skumt med amerikanska kommentatorer:)

  • kinda wierd seeing him play in the middle, and i guess he's balding now?

  • ljungberg is like beckham almost...a symbol for soccer to grow in the U.S. but not washed up...he's still good enough to play in higher leagues.

  • He'll always be a legend at Arsenal

  • @GodwinCarpenter Always... will be a legend, he's already in the Arsenal books.

  • I want him to come home, home to Halmstads BK =)

But hes not that populare among HBK supporters since he went to Seattle, many see it that he followed the money not the heart.

  • sounders are a new team in the mls u idiots but got added from the usl

  • seattle sounders?, before freddy went there i'd never heard of them, he should be playing for a bigger club

  • I think it's great to see Americans gaining interest in the greatest sport in the world. And of course the MLS is not on par with La Liga or Premier League - you'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to expect it to be. But it's certainly better than many European leagues, and I welcome its growth :)

One thing though... it's called FOOTBALL, not soccer :P

  • HERE, HERE!!!

  • the google and youtube search fill has already put sounders ahead of seahawks... that shows how big soccer is getting here YEA

  • Seattle is the best team ever

  • Shame Ljungberg was a dissapointment at west ham. Such a shame cause he is a talanted player

  • why the fuck he left Arsenal.

    Waste of talent.-_-.

  • ' cuase he got injured a lot, and basically he had broken ribs in a freak play and then the club kind of wanted him out 'cause he was expensive to keep and he was getting injured all the time. The guy is old and he has A LOT of injuries. On the other hand- TFC sucks!...hard they get beaten even by newcomers??? That defence is horrible.

  • you fuckin suck TFC is a new team too idiot

  • what are you talking about they have been in the league for like 3 years now.

They don't have chemistry, you should get that. They don't play with chemistry they play choppy. They have some talent but for the talent that they have they should be doing better , plus the fans are out of this world....to the point that they even have a reputation in the U.S.A as trouble makers because some of them have gotten arrested and the well known fire incident. TFC sucks.

  • check the standings and then tell me they suck

  • Ok I will check the standings at the end of the year and I will still tell you the same thing. = ) they just have bad chemistry man. get it together!

  • um.....they suck. after one week they go from playoffs to second last. they'll stay at the bottom too, i agree with harvard, SLOPPY as all hell and no chemistry. they may not be a "new team" anymore, which i believe they still are... but if you think theyre not ....whatever....cuz they still play like one

  • Comment removed

  • you suck....bitch! seattle owns at football!

  • shame to see such a talented player go to waste in such a opintless league

  • Dubai is still the worlds premier retirement home for european legends :p

Maybe the Americans will catch them some day.

  • Freddie Ljungbergs a legend! We love you Freddie because you've got red hair we love you Freddie because your everywhere! The old songs - classics

  • you're right he was poor at west ham, but was very good at arsenal. Struggled with injuries

  • yeah I suppose winning several league trophies, cups, being top midfield goal scorer for several seasons and being in premier league teams of the season makes him a Krap (actually crap) player! Get your head screwed on!

  • All the best of luck with Seattle, Freddie! AFC

  • ya im with u on ljundber. as a matter of fact, seattle sounders will be a huge success

  • unlike Beckham, Ljungberg will be an MLS Success !!!

  • That was a great goal. It's a typical goal, but it was done with a skilled pass, and with a superb touch.

  • Hey.

Drew Carey gave me an exclusive interview after the game and Toronto FC fans threw beer at us!

Go to my channel to see it all go down.

  • Europe is a pretty big continent, not all football there is quality. MLS is about 2nd division quality for the most part, the championship in England. So if you're a fan of a shit team in Europe, it's no better than an MLS team.

  • no its not mate mls is shit just ask beckham europe is the best place for football all the old shitty players go to the mls e.g. ljungberg and beckham all players who went shit so went to a shit league so dont brag about the mls its shit and no1 likes it.

  • Actually, a lot of people like MLS. MLS is catching on here in the States, and is arguably more popular than baseball, the so-called American Pastime, in some areas. Of course, it will never be as popular as American Football, a game so perfect that God himself created it and handed it down to man.

  • your a dick. why are brits so insecure. who care that we have a league... we are not claiming to be the best league we are just playing it and watching it. I know that everytime i go to a match i have the time of my life which makes your argument completley bullshit

  • becks is coming back and although it may be for money or noone else in the premiership wants him, he's still committed to making football an impact here... although im not a galaxy fan, i'd rather have noone else here to do that. even if he does go back to milan he'll be back when hes done to help it here.

  • Actually, I'd say the championship is a better league than the MLS. People underestimate the championship way too much. If you'd compare MLS to European leagues, i'd say it would place around 20-25th. But who cares? I follow the swedish national league, 26th rank in football, we haven't had a team in the CL for 10 years. As long as it's football though, I don't mind :)

  • We love you freddie, thanks for all the wonderful years.

    AFC

  • We love you Freddie

    Because you've got red hair

    We Love love you Freddie

    Cos you're everywhere

    We love you Freddie

Cos you're Arsenal through and through

  • Freddie Ljungberg, nickname at Arsenal...

World Class player, one of the best in his prime..

  • if you want to watch the official 2002 world cup movie then check out my playlist. This is NOT the official review.

  • perfect 1-2...

    damn! miss him so much!

  • Lovely! just perfect!

    love him sooooo much..

    forever and ever!!

    =)

  • do people from England know that their top two teams and fifth team are owned by Americans? We might not know soccer/football, but we are financing your european dominance along with the russian guy.

European soccer/football is over 100 years old, it would be ridiculous for it not be superior than MLS.

Also if for some reason you're in the south eastern states don't refer to Americans as yankees. Just some friendly advice.

  • He's my Legend =) Absolutely fantastic pleyer, we'll always rememeber him for what done in Arsenal and Sweeden.. for ever the Best! Good Luck in MLS, Freddieeeeeee!!

  • Nice goal, Seattle is my favourtie team in america. Forza Seattle !!!!!!!

  • You know whats strange... His name is actually Fredrik Ljungberg not freddie.... :)

  • Not denying that Euros are ignorant, but it's hard to watch MLS when you have access to Premiership/La Liga/Seria A matches. I wish I could enjoy the MLS, but it's difficult.

Anyway, I do recognizes and greatly appreciate how much our national team is improving.

  • Can't we all get along.....GO MLS, GO PREMIERSHIP, GO LA LIGA , GO BUNDESLIGA, GO ITALIAN CALCIO.

  • Seriously you all must be cunts , why are u waching this video if u dont like the MLS? Tell me that faggots, why don't you all go wack off to "Man U" and ur little dream teams.

  • As long as we keep mexicans off the squads, the MLS will do well against international competition.

  • Go Seattle!!!

  • I am really excited that the Sounders D is shutting out game after game. Let hope they can keep doing it!

  • if england is the best nation in football, why aren't you the world champions or european champions? dont talk about your teams because most of them are owned by foreigners, now shut the fuck up

  • And just to clarify, I am referencing League 1 of the English league. That is to say, below the Premiership and below the Championship.

  • And I don't know why everyone is always so defensive about the fact that we have a league. Isn't that a good thing? Don't you want to share your favorite sport with the rest of the world? It always seems like you think we are comparing ourselves to the English leagues or Spanish, whatever... the point is. They are better? NO SHIT. Who said the MLS was better? I certainly haven't, it's League 1 equivalent imo, but the money is there and they are getting better. Share the love for the game.

  • Its because they like to hate on the U.S. No matter what we do they will still hate on us. Its ok though because it means we are making progress. When the hating stops is when we should get worried.

  • I am an English soccer fan and I think it's great to see the MLS expanding and getting better every year. All real football fans from around the world would like to see the MLS keep improving because America is the only major nation yet to fully embrace the game.

I would agree the standard is about low Championship/ Div 1 English standard at the moment but it was more like Div 3 10 years ago. It also seems to be a very professionally run league as far as club owners and league admin goes.

  • American's don't know shit about soccer Gichnni? What a completely arrogant and biased stereotype. It's not the most popular sport in America, yes that's true. Sorry we have 3 other major sports here. I am a huge soccer fan, but to be arrogant enough to say something so stupid. Let me guess you're probably some glory hunter Manchester United fan? Yeah that makes you know a hell of a lot more than anyone else. Let's join fantasy leagues and see prick.

  • fix your teeth before u call somebody fat

  • he just there because of the money

  • England is an irrevalent country, if he makes it here THEN he has made it. Unlike Beckham who failed and went crawling back to europe.

  • hahahah if he makes it in the MLS!??

players wind down their careers in the USA. beckham couldn't stand the slow pace and lack of physicality - basically it was 2 easy for him. his body fat wen playin in the MLS was 15.6%

back in italy for ac milan, it was down to 8.9%. that just shows u the tempo and fludity of european football.

hahaahaha I cannot believe u think players r made in the USA. thats wat european football is for. displaying their peak football

  • So what? Go toss off to your premier league games and leave us to ours.

  • Oooh an internet-tough-guy! I'm not the asshole crapping about sports leagues I don't follow. You don't like MLS: don't fucking watch it.

  • your country can't even qualify for the euro's, its amongst the worst footballing countries in the world and its your national sport, how sad. Its our number 5 or 6 sport but we are still amongst the top 15 in the world. Players only go to europe for money, when MLS grows they will offer competitive wages and then the players will chose to live in USA over miserable rainy england.

  • hahahah ur the most disillusioned twat in the world. England are ranked 9th in the world and the USA are 17th. u r only 17th despite having to play nations like guatemala and honduras. we are 9th and we played recently spain, croatia and ukraine. the english premier league is the most watched, fastest and most physical league on the planet. like i said, players with long term injuries wind up in the MLS wen they're careers r coming to an end. would u hav seen ljunberg at 25 in the MLS?

    HELL NO

  • hello stupid one. the euro is a tournament based for europe teams not other foreign teams dumbass!!! hello E-U-R-O!!!

  • Players go to Europe because it is home to the best leagues in the world, including England, which holds arguably the best.

  • good coment:)m8

  • football* .. wanker..

  • Soccer i Amerika, football i England. Läs på lite innan du rättar andra..

  • Var tror du de spelar då? "Seattle - Toronto"

  • No shit, Sherlock.. Jag påpekade bara att du säger att det inte heter football på engelska, vilket det gör. Engelska talar man även i England..

  • Jaja, missförstånd i så fall. Jag menade något annat.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • A typical Ljungberg goal ;)

  • ljungberg es un buen jugador

lo era masz en el arsenal pero sin duda brillara en el seattle saludos

  • it is the best team to join the mls

(though i still go for galaxy!)

  • <------if you like soccer then subscribe and/or invite us

  • Then don't watch it.

  • This happens in every league in every country in every round. What's wrong with being happy backoswacko10?

  • Serioux shit the bed on that one.... TFC need a DP.

  • lol, sweet victory after all the ridiculous trash talking by TFC fans

  • scooores ROFL

  • oh you guys finally have real football now and not just handegg?

  • haha he says Longburg

  • Good job seattle. We played like shit and deserved the loss. It early in the season and better now that later. C'mon TFC step it up. Act like you want it ! CMON REDS !

  • Our defense was awful that game! We will step it up and TFC will do better than Seattle!

  • After all the trash-talking by Red Patch boys and TFC fans in general ever since the season opener against NY, this was the sweetest victory yet.

  • Is he Freddy Kruger in the film Elm street?

  • ljungberg not loongberg

  • Haha, "does he get an assist for that?". The commentators should learn abit more about "soccer". It's maximum 1 assist in soccer and of course you can never assist yourself. Pretty good and easy goal though. The MLS is getting better for each year.

And how you pronounce his name, In swedish you say "Jungberj". "Youngberg" is how the most commentators pronounce it though.

  • konsten att förstå ironi :)

  • 1) it was a joke.

    2) he was actually the one who told the US press/announcers to pronounce it that way.

  • He was asked at the vey first press conferrence in seattle and he said he wanted it to be pronounced like "Loonberg".

  • I'm a swede, and I'd say that the only way to pronounce his last namer properly in english would be to just say "Young-berg". That should do it. Loon-berg just seems weird... and really wrong. Check out some of the youtubeclips with swedish intl games and swedish commentary and you'll see.

  • he is best sweden 4-ever

  • Wrong pronouncation! It's not Looongberg, its more like - young-berg

  • You pronounce it "Jung-berj". If you want to stick to his native language, being Swedish...

  • Yung-berj, rather , since J is prounounced as "dj" in English.

  • Yep, or perhaps just "Young-berg"

  • hahahahah toronto FC FAIL!

  • that's a great play and you gotta love the statistics fetish over there.
