just to inform you, there is backwarded "message": "Garret...Garrer, who is it you wish to fight?" When the Victoria is appearing... Is an obvious loop, just you dont have to figure it yourself .-)
In the first Thief I think even in the first mission you find a letter from the Baron saying his daughter Victoria has gone missing... is it ever revealed if that Victoria is this Viktoria?

Admiration? You do remember her relationship with the Trickster, and the fact that he killed a major pagan god... She is practically ordering him around, only dealing with him because she needs his help.
It is a valid point of view... and of course she has her own agenda (keep the earth safe) - but still - there is more than just ordering around. Watch the other cinematics carefully - they definitely have chemistry, and the end cinematic says a lot more. In its own way, their alliance involves more than just following thier egocentric purposeses, but hey - sometimes when you wish to see more you can actually do :)
for some reason all my thief cutscenes stopped working after the 9th one. is this the cutscene that plays right after you follow the bleeding pagan and find his body?
Apparently Viktoria still holds a grudge against Garret for killing her friend Constantine (and Garret hold a grudge against her for his eye ("Join you? Not exactly my first choice."))

Yes it is, you follow the blood trail down into a forest area, then this cutscene plays.

Viktoria's got some good in her. But she only seeks Garrett out b/c they have a common enemy. I like her voice as a human.
