That bamboo thing with the water, i think those are to keep animals out of your garden, i forgot how u set them up but i saw a bunch at the Japanise Garden place and in there shop, it was a beautiful place there.
that string is very nice string, I think its the kind thats most useful for making traditional fences, binding and knotting the bits of bamboo together?

Should be fine in the US, afaik. Blow up in the UK though.
