Guide to being a child avatar in Second Life

I'm new to SL and in the posses of creating a child character. Just because some people are messed up in the head does not mean everyone else is. I can fully understand places with above PG rated content should not be open to you unless you have an adult form. But things like G and PG spaces should be free to everyone. I've roleplayed children since I was 12 and it's always been a way to escape to a simpler and happier mind set, never has it been sexual to me in any way, nor will it ever be.

I wholeheartedly agree. And I don't believe that AngelTeardrops meant that playing a kid was abuse. As I read it, it was referring to a previous posting about child avatars getting abuse. I've been insulted myself when playing a perfectly innocent child, but that's life. Some people have nasty minds.

my favorite place is babydolls store it sells non make up skins child hairstyles i got my pig taails and curly bunches from their also beautiful old fashioned like dresses for girls but it has modern clothes jeans and tops and that and i wear my white ankle socks and mary janes shoes also they do brides maids flower girls dresses and pageant dresses too from their the store is quite expensive but worth it

Is it possible to download SL avatars somewhere? I really suck at building them. I tried to make a kid in SL, but I couldn't get the shape right, and the face always looked adult (I started with the "girl next door" default.)

well im a SL kid im waist high to the adults i dont age play but im the size of a 5 year old i guess i bought my shape and skin but it cost a lot u can use ur basic shape u get when u rezz but hiding the brests and that is hard if u want to be very young and skin well dunno but maybe u can

I hate sl kids that dress like adults, are 10 with dummys or supposed to be 3-5 yet can't speak properly.. whats that all about? I guess these guys don't know much about kids.

i know they dress like little tarts some of them im a SL kid and i wear stuff from babydolls kids sim frilly dresses puffed sleeves and i gave my dummy away byr iv seen them the Neko kids r the worst like little tarty goths i have 3 SL cousions who are like that and black goth dummies too and bellys and bear flesh showing urgh

I like the hints. I too play a kid in SL. I was abused as a child, this is me letting my inner child be what she should have been, a care free innocent that plays and enjoys life. Nothing adult or sexual will be tolerated directed towards my faux-kid-me. I may not have been able to stop what happened to me as a real kid, but I can protect myself as a virtual one. Abuse reports will be made.

I hate the bias of some people who don't understand and judge.

i play a SL child  to relive my awsome child hood but thise time having a sort of american childhood[im in uk] but my SL neice whos 4 she was like u was raped by her step dad so SL is the closest thing she can get to getting her child hood back and today on SL we were having great fun teasing our sl brother saying hes got cooties and blowing rasberries at our SL parents through the house patio doors pretending wed messed up the glass and she had great fun

There are many however because of the aggressive campaigns screaming pedophilia, many kids avatars are harassed even when the overwhelming majority do nothing bad, they now prefer to hang out in their own places and sims because in common sims some people are very mean to them. Time ago it was not like that.

try the search. we pretty much have to stay in our own sims. partly thanks to crud like this people discriminate against us. we can't go to pirate sims, we can't go to malls, etc. it doesn't matter if there is sex or not people still make rules against us. my friend had to dress as a cat just to go to a mall. its ridiculous. thats probably the reason you don't see us is because we are probably not allowed in the places you go to. I even found pg places that say no kid avs allowed. WTF?

actually since I've posted this I found a few more cool sims that allow us. Antiquity pirate sim allows us and that's pretty awesome. Loki invented this grid thing that allows kids to tp to kid friendly places. I'd say its gettin' better.

iv become a kid now iv been an adult in SL too much stress so i became a kid got adopted and never looked back now
