  • ALAN CLARK AND GRAHAM NASH WHERE THE HOLLIES TERRY WAS GOOD AGTER THAT IT DROPED , JUST MY OPINION THANKS

  • where was this filmed??

  • @DEARMINTA This was filmed as it says on the breakfast show BBC1 februari 2010

  • I like the Hollies from the 70's this is sad. Very, very, sad.

  • These are the Dolphins and the latest in a long line of Allan Clarke and Graham Nash wanna-bes. At least they have staying power.

  • without alan this new hollies suck bring back alan

  • hello daff, there are enough mp3's you can find on Google but I could not find any "live" one.

    gr. Lowie

  • Hi there, Is there anybody here who has them performing 'dont let me down' alive ? Please...

  • Where is Allaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh the Hollies, When I was in a band in the 60's all the guitarists wanted to be Tony Hicks, ( me included )it's easy to see why, the guy just hasn't aged and his guitar playing and vocal work remains the mainstay of the Hollies success throughout the period. Long live the Manchester sound--------Long Live the Hollies.

  • Allan Clarke's completely awesome voice is a landmark of the times! The Hollies had it all...stage presence/great music/musicianship/emotion. I miss them...

  • A Band is more than just the singer. As The Beatles were more than Paul or John and Journey was more than Steve Perry (also Perry was the second singer for them not the first; he was the replacement)

  • Compare Nashie and Allan Clarke at the Royal Albert Hall....

  • Who is Haley Oswald?

  • If haley oswald was old and played guitar he'd look like this

  • Hicksy looks the same as ever

  • Still wonderful

  • These guys look fantastic, they've got to be up there. One of my all time favorites.

  • this is a work of GENUIS., it just sets one in a good mood., irresistible to sway with it

  • Just beautiful. God bless you guys. Better with age.

  • Is that the bass player from Mud holding the microphone?

  • @jimmyjam4371 Yep. Ray Stiles, although he's been with the Hollies far longer than he was with Mud.

  • Wow Tony Hicks looks so young. He never changed.

  • They sound as well as they did back in the day, and one of my favorite tunes this was and still is. ;)

  • Whats that on Tony hicks head surely not is own hair?

  • This is like Journey. They replace Steve Perry with Arnel Pineda and continue Steve's legacy. They are ony a tribute band now. Steve was Journey just as Allan Clarke was the Hollies. This is IMHO. The Beatles curtailed the Hollies being a mega band. Just the timing of it all.

  • THEY ARE STILL HOTT!!!

  • Wish they`d ditch Howarth and find someone who isnt so middle of the road. Shame they didnt look up Mikael Rickfors when Carl passed away. I`m sure he would have been up for it and was part of the bands history.

  • Say what you want, these are still the Hollies..............And they sound great in my book

  • Sadly, Alan Clark has lost his vocal abilities. He retired from the band when his voice became a noticeable problem. It's very sad, because Alan sang some of the most wonderful and influential songs in rock music.

  • simply . . . AWESOME !

  • still great !

  • Actually Peter's voice suits this group

  • I really wished that Allan would've recorded one more album with The Hollies before he retired. Those last two albums they recorded without Allan are pretty lousy. Allan seemed to have the ability to make a mediocre song and make it likeable, just with his voice alone. Check out the song "Say it Ain't So Jo" for verification. Absolutely phenomenal vocal performance.

  • @drbpony Hello R. I''ve listened to "it ain't so" and it is really a nice song and his voice fits this song perfectly.

    gr.Lowie

  • @drbpony He couldn't. He couldn't really sing anymore which why he retired.

  • Stunningly beautiful music! I'm with her spent his entire youth! The music for the ages!

  • allan clark was the hollies, not replaceable, saw them in the late seventies and clark has the best live voice i've ever heard.

  • @plonker00765 You're right on there...he had one of the best voices ever. His vocals on "He Ain't Heavy" are insane. It's weird...I hear that song a million times and always thought the vocals were excellent, one day I really listened and realized it was one of the best vocal efforts ever.

  • @Waszma absolutely, when i saw them live alan clark sang amazing grace without any music or backing

vocals, that song alone was worth the price of admission, his voice was crystal clear and easily the best male singing voice i've ever heard.

  • @connieutube - he will be 65 next month! Where does the time go! Wish we could go back!

  • Not Alan!!! ARGH!!!

  • Then - Now - Always

  • Wow! :-)

  • see the band live you whinging ninnies.

  • @MegaSherriff So they should!!

  • Sorry guys - just doesn't cut it. Cover band at best.

  • Sorry guys - not the same without Allan Clarke!

  • @w00wah But still excellent though :-)

  • They should have called it a day when Carl died!

  • tony doesn't look his age

  • @MsMarc48 He looks a very young 60 doesnt he!! :-)

  • @MsMarc48 Tony has never looked his age!

  • tony hicks 67? fuck me he looks 40's

  • @BrickUnit He looked 15 when he was in his 20's, so go figure! :)

  • This is not the Hollies! You wouldn't put 2 random musicians in a band with Paul and Ringo and call them "The Beatles" would you?

  • @tcvicesquad you wouldnt put george bush in office and call him a president, but people do anyway haha

  • @tcvicesquad well put no allen no hollies wont go and see them because of that

  • This is not the Hollies, sorry for Tony but the magic is not there. Give up and bow out gracefully

  • Whereas they were once the unmissable Hollies this MOR singer has made them the missable Hollies .

  • Hey winterland boy-do your homework....Ray Stiles was part of 'Mud'.....

  • Interesting that Ray Stiles mentioned that he went to see them as a kid, and then was part of one of the biggest bands in the 'Glam Rock' era....He must have felt a bit out of place , but it was a pretty good interview....

  • @Inkvis The Hollies were part of the "Glam Rock Era"? No..I don't think so

  • @winterlandboy mud you idiot

  • What a category. Good musicians.

  • With all due respect to Tony Hicks and Bobby Elliott, GIVE IT UP already. Without Alan Clarke you are no more the Hollies than the Beach Boys are without Carl , Dennis and Brian. Or The Who without Keith and John, etc. There ought to be a rule that in order to maintain a band name you must either have the original lead singer or more than half the original members. Its just not the same...

  • @pilesovinyl And what about GRAHAM NASH.... (sigh).... I wish that Tony Hicks and Bobby Elliott had showed up at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame instead of continuing to go through the motions. They could have done it. In 'The Big Takeover' magazine Graham talked about how he felt when his old bandmates simply blew it....

  • @NewHopeNashFan Yeah, The only reason that I didn`t mention Nash (my favorite Hollie and one of my favorite artists ever) was because he had left so long ago and the Hollies were still viable with their lead singer and other key guys in place. But when Allan left, c`mon. That voice and his harmony with Tony, irreplaceable. I too was crushed that they skipped the ceremony which I had circled on my calendar and looked forward to for months.

  • nice unplugged sound..but NO ONE could sing that song..or any hollies song like ALAN CLARK..this guy Peter ? is not a bad singer..but definately does not have the edge of alan clark.

  • @mouse1701 Go and see them live on stage and you'll see just how good these guys are... Peter Howarth fits in so well with them, he looks good and he has a good voice and a lovely personality!!! :o))

  • @mouse1701 I thought Peter did very well with this song but I do agree nobody can sing this better than Alan Clarke

  • @mouse1701 Totally agree with you, saw the Hollies last night and although the songs brought back memories of the great days the voice of Alan Clarke was the missing ingredient.

  • I think Bobby Elliott is the bomb!

  • Very Very Nice!! Thanks for uploading. I love the Hollies!

  • Bobby Elliott - MAESTRO
