  • i fail

  • @KevLamProductions Make sure you have first built the Proto OmniWing that can be found on my channel. If success with that wing, then move on to the OmniWing. If success with that then you would move next to the OmniWing Modifications Video. This will teach you some of the steps that will be used with the Advanced OmniWing. Also check out the Paper Airplane Aerodynamics 101, and maybe this will be of benefit to you.. Good Luck.

  • @Osorojo5552 Yes, Si.... I use printer paper.

  • I follow you step by step

  • hey can you remake this with a hd camera it would really help or you could show diagrams thanks and please reply

  • @RedDragonzOfficial I am hoping that a HD Camera is on the way to me soon. I will be redoing a lot of the videos.

  • can you make the advanced PROTO-OMNIWING??!!!!

  • @MrSaqlain23 I would imagine that an advanced Proto-OmniWing would work. Probably would only make sense up through the Video 1 of the Advanced Series. Beyond that you are dealing with application of additional structure and double surface. The Proto-OmniWing, with it's primitive method of the fold that creates a sudden washout area, rather than a spanwise transition would be problematic in taking it into steps 2, 3, and 4, as is done with the Advanced OmniWing.

  • @menamiketrx please make a video so i will understand it more better

  • 4 noobs couldn't wait 20 seconds to read the disclaimer. Personally, I'm not surprised.

  • i tryed it with an a2 paper...xD crazy shit...xD

  • whats the song?

  • Nice plane!!! I messed with the wingspans, and seems to me the longer ones work the best.

  • @FunkyKongo Cool! That's what I like about this wing. Unlimited possibilities for modifications.

  • thats so domb i don't get the steps

  • @SuperILOVE23 It is recommended that you first master the Proto OmniWing and then the OmniWing, and then the OmniWing Modifications. 3 videos at my channel. With those videos you will learn the basic folding skills needed to move on to the Advanced OmniWing. Sorry about the confusion.

  • @SuperILOVE23 I suggest you go to my channel and start with the Proto OmniWing. Master that then move on to the OmniWing, then the OmniWing Modifications. These teach you many steps that will be used in the Advanced and I assume the builder has already learned the previous crafts. Also check out the vids on my channel showing the OmniWings in flight. Then you will be inspired to give it a go again. Try and try again!!!

  • @SuperILOVE23 u r the dumb guy cuz u dont know how to follow if ur a duck baby u wont follow ur mom

  • approximently this much isnt really help full.

  • @darthturner122 Actually "approximately" is appropriate as they is a lot of latitude with many of the steps. Not rocket science. I build many wide variations. Have you completed the videos "Proto-OmniWing" "OmniWing" and OmniWing Modifications" If not, I suggest you visit my channel and pursue those first. If you have success with those, you should not have any difficulty with the Advanced OmniWing.

  • @menamiketrx, i wonder why i have noo experience when i first made it and i was pretty sucessful and i made one (much later) using 9x12 paper and i made one at a much steeper angle and i was sucessful but i put 1 surface instead and noo middle paper bars (only at the front) just to save weight because the wing area was slightly reduced

  • @tedlam168 The internal structure paper bars are not only for structural strength, but adds weight at the front of the craft, weighting the nose properly for establishing the center of gravity. Without proper amount of weight on the nose area, the wing will be tail heavy and will stall.

  • thys shit dont can fly

  • @Gildereufickthart With a properly built wing, the OmniWings do indeed fly very well. Check out my channel to see 3 different videos showing the variations of the OmniWing in flight. Also, you should not start with the Advanced OmniWing as your first project. Start with the Proto-OmniWing and then to the OmniWing, then to the OmniWing Modifications, and if successful with all of those, you can then have a go at the Advanced OmniWing. Good Luck to you.

  • @menamiketrx its true they do fly and the proto was easy enough to make

this however looks difficult...4 whole vids dedicated to a single plane!! DAMN!!

  • It's too hard to make without any dimensions/size. Help me! =)

    Sorry for bad English =)

  • @OooooooooMEooooooooO Go to my channel and start with the Proto OmniWing. It utilizes a single sheet of 8 1/2 inch x 11 paper. Then on to the OmniWing, Next would be the OmniWing Modifications. You should not be attempting the Advanced OmniWing without first having success with the previously mentioned.

  • @menamiketrx I've already done the Proto-OmniWing and the OmniWing... and they fly wonderfully =)

But the Advanced OmniWing is very hard... =(

  • @menamiketrx, why do you need to experience with the proto omniwing and omniwing? i never knew what the twist is and no experience with the other wings and i was successful on this one

  • @tedlam168 Sorry about the late response. It is rare that someone jumps right on the Advanced OmniWing and has success. I hope you are enjoying the craft.

  • it looks like a 30 60 triangle so imma try dat instead of fingers

  • This vid came out on my bday!

  • It's hard to do as the steps are very complicated.

  • Try starting with the "Proto-Omniwing" seen on my channel, and then if successful go to the OmniWing, then to the OmniWing Modifications, and then the Advanced. Make sure you have watched the Flight of the OmniWings. (Two Videos)

  • @menamiketrx i cant do this why why help me the lighting is not good you need to do it where it is light can you do it asap pls, cos i really want to do it, it is seriously getting me frustrated i cant even do the folding wing bit can u explain in more detail pls pls pls thanks

  • dude ur vids are awesome. i love this plane

  • mike! i created the mini omniwing

go to search and type gagetrumbly (with no space between gage and trumbly)

my vids will show up look through them till u see the mini omniwing video

it flies great and it is simple ill show how to make in another vid cause there is a special type of paper to use. thanks!

  • Y dont ya just say A4?

  • OK..... A4

  • hey that is almost equal to the paperang search it and it is easier but a tiny bit better

  • I have been aware of the paperang and Dr. Hue's work for decades. I spoke with him in the 1980's by phone and we both were surprised at how we had both come up with very similar craft that were based partly on our shared experiences in hang gliding in the 1970's, with Dr. Hue flying hang gliders in Japan and myself in southern Cal. I feel the paperang is aesthetically more pleasing, while the OmniWing allows for freedom in design modification and potential for greater performance range.

  • Hey mike, I've actually gotten a "stealth bomber" variant of the advanced omniwing designated the F3-5E Advanced Omniwing operational in my TAA USAF. I've also gotten a similar layout on a proto-omniwing. The former of which can lift two water bomb frames in it's internal bomb bays. It just proves how efficent a lifting body the omniwing is.

    OAE

  • OH MY GOSH dude you are a GENIUS! I made the omniwing and it didn't work, then I tried again and it STILL didn't work but I think I curved the wings the wrong way, and I tried it up side down and it worked like it did when you flew it! U ROCK!

  • how can you do it on a4 paper ?

  • A4 will work just as well.

  • Can you build these for my, I am getting really angry at my paper!

do you think i could form the twist on a cylinder?

  • Did you have success with the OmniWing? If so you should not have any difficulty with the Advanced OmniWing. The cylinder idea sounds good but I am sure you would also be bending the leading edges and would end up with anhedral in the wing. Try and Try again. To qoute from the movie, "the Edge" "What One Man Can Do, Another Can Do" Now say it! Say it out loud! Atta boy. Now lets go kill the &*-%$ Bear.

    Mike

  • How can you explain the aerodynamics of the OmniWIng? it's very interesting because it flies about 10x longer than normal paper airplanes.

    plz respond.

  • Most paper airlanes are basically planks. Yes, it is possible to get a plank to fly. Weight on the nose, bend in some flaps to counter the nose weight. With the OmniWings I wanted to incorporate the same design concerns that full size glider or airplanes have. This would include having an actual airfoil. Provide twist in the wings, which almost all aircraft incorporate into their design. The balance of the craft should be a result of the design and not an afterthought.

  • u ro cool

  • lets say there is a weight of 20 grams required as a load on the plane, wad do u tink is a relevant change to ensure the advanced omniwing still glides a long distance?

  • I am pretty confident that the Advanced OmniWing will handle the load. If the load is placed at the center of gravity it will not change the flight characteristics except for increasing it's flight speed.

  • im guessing you really like omniwings huh?

  • I have been in love with my OmniWings for over 36 years. Also in love with my wife for over 36 years as she puts up with my foolishness.

  • its so hard

  • First, make sure you have mastered the OmniWing before pursueing the Advanced OmniWing.

It is a challenging design, but I assure the form follows function. I did not set out to design a paper glider that is difficult to build, but instead desired to refine a design to achieve maximum performance for gliding. Search out "Flight of the OmniWing" on YouTube to see me launching several wings. Stick with it. You will eventually have success.

  • For Real? Please tell me you caught it on video.....

  • haha i made one and threw it off the empire state building

  • i found a really good kind of tape but im not sure witch kind. haha, its really sticky!

  • why not just start with a one piece A3 paper?

  • I suggest first trying to follow the steps with either A3 or 8 1/2 x 11 as presented. If successful, then experiment with other variations. The purpose of the OmniWing platform is simply to serve as a starting point for experimentation. There is no right way nor wrong way.

  • Also, which paper have you used? Is it the regular 80 grams per square meter, or else?

  • Menamiketrx, could you tell me how does this plane perform when it comes to acrobatics? 'Cause I really need some good acrobatic plane model...

  • The OmniWings are probably not the best platform when seeking a craft for aerobatics. Aerobatic aircraft depend on instability to perform aerobatics. The OmniWing is all about stability. Now I can throw and OmniWing and get it to loop or do 360's and return to me, but overall, the main thing it is aways trying to do is return to stable flight. To do aerobatics with the OmniWings, stiffen up the keel structure a bit more. Then toss with Thumb on nose and middle finger on keeel.

  • So Nice =]

  • you are good in making gliding stuff did you design it by your self

  • Yes, my design conceived in early 1970's.

  • 3:59 is where i left off lol i have to remind myself

  • Is this your design??

  • Yes it is. Conceived in the early 1970's.

  • i got mixed up when i put thetwo halfs together, the formed a huge v shape. any tips to prevent this from happening.

  • Not sure exactly what trouble you ran into. Try again.... if not success, reply back with details. Make sure you have built the OmniWing prior to trying the Advanced.

  • the proto omni wing will fly like the advanced omniwing if you don't make that handle to throw it better it showld be like this: --- not like this: -^- (the shape)

  • thanks great video i made one and it went really far and now all my friends are mad cuz i wont show them how to make one keep up the good work

    -adioskater7565:o)

  • On the OmniWing without any advanced modifications, the top surface will be the side with all the taping. Tape on the back side of the leading edges, tape to hold the center keel support in place. Tape on the nose weight. If the wing was twisted properly, when viewed from the rear holding the wing level, you should see the trailing edge rising up as you travel out to the wing tips. This is what serves as "up elevator".

I have experimented with twist the other way, but the prior works best

  • Sorry it took so long. For those who have been following the OmniWing long before YouTube existed, you were patient, but persitent in wanting the instructions for the Advanced. It was the YouTube environment that made it all possible. I should be able to finsih up the instruction videos for the Advanced OmniWing this week, and that will be it as far as instructionals. I have not pursued any other kinds of wings. Will try to make some nice videos of launching and flying the wings.

  • yeah! ONE OF MY FAVORITE PAPER AIRPLANES
