This is not good news at all. When the jackpot was tokens at about £6-8, you could at least have a decent game and experience the "thrill" of a jackpot and the arcades still coined it in then because it kept you playing-- The %payout is what pisses me off, it was 78% for the old 6-8-10pound jackpot and still the same for a £70jackpot so you not winning any more really; its a CON. It should be a minimum of 90% or better still 0%, then nobody will play these shite boxes!!

go into any arcade and look for a £500 jackpot machine and watch how much is put in and you will be amazed. many stories of people losing £1k-£2k in them in a day.
There are more fruit machines than arcade games at many seaside resorts. Even kids as young as 10 play on them which is disgusting. If these arcade businesses are worried about losing money, why don't they just halve the amount of fruit machines they have in their arcades and replace them with video games and pinball machines. Thats what all the arcades had when I was a kid. Now there's nearly non left and you can't find any pinball machine too.
they were funt to play when you were kids but when you are grown up you realize there is no point in playing them as you usually lose
