@wikkidvampyre It IS for PC owners. C:>Program Files>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3> Then the Game Data folder should be there. To remember the exact path I had to go through again on my own PC.

I'm so confused with this....I keep getting access denied, and I read your other comments about have to overwrite it, but i dont understand that?? I dragged it to my desktop, edited it, and then copied and pasted it back to the .ini folder but it still says access is denied. >.<; im so confused D:

@KatxLuff Edit the VideoCamera or whatever file, then save it to your desktop. Then you just drag it into the ini folder.

@Angel48rules You hit Ctrl+Shift+C at the same time, it'll open up the cheat box. Then you type in hideheadlineeffects true. That'll great rid of the plumbbobs, thought and chat bubbles.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, and i have this PROBLEM! I had XP and this was working perfectly, but now when i open the VideoCamera.ini file, and edit what i want, than i click save as...i click save as TheSims3/..../ NonPackages/ Ini, and when i click save, then says ''that file already exsist, would you like to replace it?'' i click YES, and than says ''This file is set to read only!''

Okay here's the problem.......I go to the right place to the video.ini. When I edit and click save it says "Make sure path and file name are correct". I need help. I know angles and how to change the number for the leap duration but saving the file for the video movement is the problem. You think you could make a video for that or some good explantion. @jojolatina123 When you open the folder with the .ini file in it, just drag the file out from that folder to your desktop, or somewhere else - just don't keep it in the folder it originally is. then you could open the file and change the values. then, when you save the file that is still on your desktop (or where you dragged it to), you can just re-drag it into the original folder. that worked for me!

I'm really sorry for not answering all your questions.

If you are having problems with the "access denied" stuff you should know that the only way to "overwrite" that file is by replacing it with another one. So you have to "Save as" the edited file and drop it in another place so that you can overwrite it by copy&pasting it in the folder where the .ini files are located. That should work.

@Ardy777 Instead of saving VideoCamera.ini to replace the old one, save it to your desktop. Then, move the one from the desktop and let it replace it the old one. That should work.

Thank you soo much for this tutorial. Your's is the best and most in depth. I do have a question about filming a scene. I notice that sometimes people have very different views of the same scene. One view might show the guy and another might show the girl but it's both the same scene. Do you just use the camera angles to jump to different views or do you have to do a scene multiple times to get the shots?

@msvjuliet Well, when I want to get that effect I film the same scenes multiple times from different places. Or I just stop recording and pause the game fast so that I can change the angle and keep filming.
