you need to add to your collection a pair of the 'back to the future' nike's. the ones from back to the future part 2. they r sellling them to for michael j. fox's parkinsons foundation.
@jdavidgunning Any name of collectors or sight you can help me out with? Im trying to build a collection my self of these vintage air max joints email is ( alexsans19@yahoo.com )
I have some of these shoes as well. In my opinion thought Nike really did not have fashionably great shoes till 1987-1988 and on. Anything before 1987/88 still lagged behind Reebok for fashion and at the time Reebok was the number one sneaker in the USA between 1985-1988. Nike should retro the rest of the Air Force series such as AF (IV) sts and AF 5, they have alot of nice basketball shoes from the "sneaker wars" era that they havent retroed yet and it's a shame.
Yes - some more than others - anything that is foam tends to crumble and split. If the midsole are rubber pieced togehter, they start to separate where they connect,...so I handle them with care. Ive made the mistake of trying a pair or 2 on indoors when I got them, and sadly had bad results - if you see pairs I have multiples of..thats why..like the 1991 Crosstrainers in white and black...they crumbled somethign awful, just from touching the midsole.
@jdavidgunning well there goes my idea of ever being able to wear the mach force hi pair of orange and white shoes I have lol... guess they'll just sit and look beautiful :).. I wish I had some great shoe and material science knowledge so i knew how to rebuild the midsole Id even pay somebody to make them wearable because the air mach force hi's are sooooo great
@xxliljpxx depends. if u keep ur shoes in plastic bags after a while the sole will come off. but it depends how u take care of them. i know ppl wit original 1985 jordan 1's dat still wearable
@drankmaker713 I dont think its because of keeping them in plastic bags.. I think its the materials used for the soles. Jordan 1's are wearable yeah cuz the entire sole is made of rubber... the shoes I'm talking about are ones that use part rubber and part foam material.. which unfortunatley do crumble easy after 20 years :(
dude you have the best collection once i get older and i have a job im going to go hunting for some of this vintage nikes at the moment i only have 5 pairs of vintage nikes but your the man i rated this vid 5 stars
Appreciated...keep an eye out this week..I will be posting new pickups....NIB DS Air Force III's, NIB DS Air Force STS's, NIB DS Air Solo Flight 89's, and the SUPER RARE..I mean NEVER ABLE TO FIND...NIB DS Air Flight 90's...(the ones that look like the AIr Solo Flight 90's, only with the visible air sole and plastic ridges on the sides)
Appreciated. I never see them on youtube, but I was hoping there were people that would share my opinon that the 88-mid-90's were the best Nike ever had.
