I love this man. I watched the debates tonight and I am still undecided on who to vote for. I felt there was a very strong bias against Mr Tancredo and also Dr Paul. The US is a nation founded by immigrants, and powered by them (check out the percentage of foreign born US scientists for example). Although I agree that there should be an official English language for government to avoid a Babel effect, building a fence harks back to the days of isolationist America. Even a country like Ukraine (former country of the Soviet Union) changed their official language back to Ukrainian when they gained their independence. We were founded as an English speaking country. It is such a common, basic thing to have a universal language for a country. If the government will not set the precedent, who will?

My argument is that a strike against Mecca isn't an appropriate response to a terrorist attack commited by a handful of people, even if the attack was carried out with dirty bombs in the name of Islam. If all American laws acted in such an extreme way, we'd live in a brutally intolerant country, governed by cruelty.
