But I think you should think in general, that Deidara was the only one who refused to join the organization but accidently lost to Itachi, believing he would win. And after that Deidara wanted to revenge him, so I don't blame him in general.

The same thing i can say about gaara that he, especially in the 1st season was a heartless mass murderer and now while Gaara tried to kill my fav character and Deidara didn't want to kill him, then i'll say the same thing to you, Gaara sucks! Deidara forever!...sucks that he lost an arm during that battle..

@gaaraisthebestninja Yes, I am cruel. I've seen like this for a while. Also, if this just an anime, how come people hate other characters, if your going to talk about fighting. Your an Gaara fangirl, I'm a Deidara fangirl. The reason we fight is because one of us, no matter which one we like, always makes the first move with a hate comment against the other one, and that triggers defense against against that persons favorite character, and leads to fights.

@gaaraisthebestninja because he was too sure and overconfident, he hoped he'd have won but he lost. And Itachi told him if he loses, he'll be in Akatsuki. That's the result. And it was just a bet, not a fight. Deidara lost because of Itachi's Sharingan and Genjutsu so he started to have a strong hatred on the Uchihas because of it. He felt dissed by it as Sharingan was "a better art than Deidara's". The rest of the story I think you know what happened...

@gaaraisthebestninja and he blew himself up to kill Sasuke but Kishi decided to troll him because despite the fact that Sasuke was outta chakra, he still had survived because he's Kishi's fav character and Deidara wasn't very important to the plot. Deidara could've killed Sasuke but at least he died doing what he loved the most - his explosive art. Generally Deidara is a very complicated and misunderstood character.

Sure, Deidara probably later resigned and he wanted to become stronger with his art. And that mission of capturing Gaara was given to Deidara by Pain/Leader, Deidara didn't even kno Gaara plus in this battle he didn't even manage to kill Gaara, just to capture him, he was holding back during the fight plus he didn't pick much clay with himself to defeat Gaara.

@gaaraisthebestninja I don't think he's that evil, he just has a cocky and a bit crazy personallity, only likes his art the most (if we look at his flaws in character). I was also disappointed at the beginning for sitting on Gaara and by doing that making Naruto mad so he could beat Deidara but he survived and Gaara lives and still can control sand so be happy LOL. The fight between him and Sasuke made me consider Deidara as a not-so-evil guy. He blew himself up doing what he loved the most.

Sure he did some bad things in the beginning, i was also disappointed, but it wasn't his fault, it's all Madara/Pain's fault.
