DEP is an experimental band that use odd tie signatures. DEP varies members but regardless everyone that is in the band or ever has been in DEP is a badass.

@TheJeffum BTBAM are technically awesome musicians (well maybe minus Tommy) and I honestly love their music. Their songs are just all over the place though. Writing a 17 minute song doesn't mean you have amazing musicianship. Dillinger are great musicians as well as songwriters, and that is why they won.

@maidenpwns i've booked DEP, and they are total douche-bags. That could be a reason why he left...? They destroyed the building (which i expected), but said "if you didnt want the cops called, you shouldnt have booked dillinger." I totally expected stuff to get broken, but even before they played, they were just all about the douche. They lied and said The Bled's van broke down, so they could take the whole guarantee for themselves. They nvr even told TB about the show moving cities.
I remember being at the big blow-up board that Warped Tour uses as a schedule, writing down bands to go see with my buddy, when we heard these guys start playing. I was like "Hurry up, we have to go see them!"
A band needs to grow and experiment, if they kept regurgitating thier first riffs over and over for brainless, shirtless headbangin' retard's (i love yaz, despite your flaw's) then they wouldn't have the diversity and brilliance that are Dillinger. @TheJeffum BTBAM are technically awesome musicians (well maybe minus Tommy) and I honestly love their music. Their songs are just all over the place though. Writing a 17 minute song doesn't mean you have amazing musicianship. Dillinger are great musicians as well as songwriters, and that is why they won.

Alright I have people tell me this band is better than Between The Buried And Me. I totally disagree but this band is not bad. I appreciate parts of it. Dillinger Escape Plan has more hardcore roots and BTBAM has more metal roots so yeah :) my opinion. BTBAM beats The Dillinger Escape Plan.

@maidenpwns i've booked DEP, and they are total douche-bags. That could be a reason why he left...? They destroyed the building (which i expected), but said "if you didnt want the cops called, you shouldnt have booked dillinger." I totally expected stuff to get broken, but even before they played, they were just all about the douche. They lied and said The Bled's van broke down, so they could take the whole guarantee for themselves. They nvr even told TB about the show moving cities.

A band needs to grow and experiment, if they kept regurgitating thier first riffs over and over for brainless, shirtless headbangin' retard's (i love yaz, despite your flaw's) then they wouldn't have the diversity and brilliance that are Dillinger. Typically Patton at first, the man fart's excellence, but the band took it to a new level.

I've dug dillinger for pretty much ever...and i have to say I love black bubblegum...i dont mind if its softer or whatever, it still kills radio music. But I agree that alot of people are getting the wrong impression. But if radio music sounded like BBgum, i wouldent be upset about it. It still is a dillinger song in soul...like with the arrangements and the time signatures. Just a little more chill
