Sweet video, that area looks really cool. I just felt like you were going to plow head-on into most of the oncoming cars, as you're driving on what would seem the wrong side of the road-hehe.
I live in the United States and visited Holbrook in the summer of 2007. Since that visit I have found out our family lived in Holbrook Moor. Is that area covered in your Holbrook video and if so what start and stop numbers do I look at?
Thanks for posting a great video - made me smile as I saw my bedroom window! I hate to be pedantic, but you also included Bargate in that video (where I lived until the age of 19) and I would like to claim a separate identity for it!
Thanks. Bargate starts at 4:13, when the car goes over the top of the hill. It ends at 4:48 as the film starts to descend the hill before entering Belper.
My sister just moved to Holbrook and, as I live in Oz, I haven't been there yet. I think I've worked out her house at 3.45 near what sounds like a brilliant pub. An odd subject style but it seems to have struck a chord with a few people. Thanks
Lovely footage of the very beautiful and peace village of Holbrook! I lived he as a child for 11 years! Miss it lots as it was my first proper home and one that i shall never forget!. There are also great walks, love the woods and the views! truely amazing!
The footage of the very gorgeous and peacefull village of Holbrook is a 5 star rating from me!. I spent most of my childhood years in Holbrook! lived there for 11 years on a street called Moor Rise! Superb little village and beautifull woods!. You captured Holbrooks charm for sure!
viewed half of this clip-you have grasped a great visual idea with speeding up your footage and editing, etc. what would be awesome would be five minutes of open road with nothing in view except the road/highway and maybe the soundtrack of the radio broadcasting the news or no soundtrack at all except the bored breathing of the driver. LOVE YOUR ITINERARY POINTS OF INTEREST CHART-that's the best!
Thank you for posting! I've traced my family roots back to this area, my last name is Holbrook.. it's strange making this connection! This may be the only chance I have to see this beautiful place!

Brilliant! I used to go pub crawling around this area 30 years ago. Left the UK 14 years ago and it brought back some good memories. Thanks.

Cheers, Yes it feels like you are on a roller coaster as YOU are not in control, does not help that you drive on the wrong side of the road too.

Not sure where Holbrook Moor is, I have just added a map link in my description, see if that helps.

I think it is on the north end of town going toward Belper. There is a Moorside Lane today. Can you tell me if you drove on it?
