Next time, you get your braids done... if you can, bring your own hair (Expressions [Color 1], you can get it at almost any beauty supply in NY... especially because you're in Harlem) and when you do rinse it in apple vinegar cider to get rid of the alkaline base that is what causes teh itchign originally so when you do that you have little to no itching! Hope that helps!

I've seen ladies use Sea Breeze astringent (w/ a q-tip) to soothe and cleanse their scalp.

You might want to try a braid spray to moisturize your scalp as well.

Hey t... when ever your ends get frizzy use your plug in flatiron on medium heat, and flatiron them it makes the hair extremly straight and smooth, just dab a small amount of oil or grease b4 you flatiron them. I wore braids a year ago and i had the braid spray like one person commented....i also had some dry shampoo thats made for braided hair. It just depends on what you wanna use but my scalp is real sensitive...so tea tree oil....very good product....do a review vid on your braids. Love the defined part. Gotta try that next time i get mine braided.

wow they are very neat...synthetic braiding hair is notorious for making people itch lol. i cannot take it so i only braid with human hair. but be careful cus braids can do some permanent damage to your edges....my leave out hair for my weaves suffered as well, and its part of the reason i did a big chop again

It brings out your head shape (not to be weird) I have braids and honestly try your best not to get them wet the first couple weeks because your scalp is so fresh and it will cause itching! When I shower I put my hair up as high as possible because it will itch like crazy!

LOVEEE ITTT!!! I do braids and twists all the time, just oil your scalp the itching will die down and if you wanted to try something new. Dip all the ends of your braids into boiling hot water for like a minute and towel dry, it curls the ends of the braids xoxo

Your hair is so cute and I really like the way you have it styled. As far as tips on your braids, I have to say that when I wear braids I make sure I tie them up with a silk scarf when I am chillin' at home or when I go to bed...that made my braids look neat and last longer. I used oil sheen, too, making sure to not use too much. And, Chance is absolutely adorable...It's funny that he was eating on that candle because it reminds me of when I had a dog and he got into every friggin' thing. lol.
