Cracked Zune HD Screen

I dropped my Zune on concrete by accident there is a small crack in the corner I covered it up with a sharpie it not even noticeable.

If your device is still under warranty, you can request a repair from microsoft. Luckily, mine was still under the warranty time frame and they are repairing mine, and if it can't be repaired, a new one will be sent to you in exchange. Hope this helps anybody who has had this problem.

This same thing happend to me just the bottom of the screen and into the middle. The device still works. I put a screen protector over it... do you think that will last me? Also, I just requested a repair for this and they said my warrenty covered the screen, is this not true?

@mrgrammer1 Apple makes their screens fairly breakable so that you have to replace either the screen or the device, both giving Apple a bit more money each time. They could do better if they wanted, but they prefer money over customer satisfaction. So if you hit an Apple device hard enough to make a crack like this guy's Zune had, it would crack like a bitch and be pretty much unusable. Replacement time! :D

@jibarra116 I dont think they will replace the screen. From what i know they will only offer you a some sort of coupon or something to get an original zune. Best bet for you is to either buy a new one or buy a replacement screen. If you decide to replace it, you will need to buy one online and replace it yourself or send it in to be replaced. Ill send you a link.

u can repair ur screen for $90 dont throw it away msg me and i will tell you how my bros 32g hd green got his screen cracked even worst and i bought the part for him and changed the screen for him too

my zune screen cracked not the glass. it cracked under the glass

so the xune doesnt even show light. mine was in a case and i got no idea how it happaned there is no spot of impacr either its just 4 separate hairline cracks

Very sorry but Microsoft will not repair the Zune. Once the screen is cracked your warenty is void. If you try to send it to them they will ship it rightback and won't repair it.... I suggest you sell it and buy a new one or risk a very high chance of fkin it up and loose everything
