Thank you so much for a great tutorial! Wonderfully clear step by step explanations. The painting is lovely. I hope to apply your techniques to my own painting and look forward to other videos. Thanks again.
wow! i've always had trouble with water colors, but interest has spurred yet again and this has definitely inspired me to try it out again (during finals however, is not a nice time for this sudden reemerging interest...)
@MsArtattack - I didn't grow up in Arizona, but I lived there for three years in 1980-83. We originally lived in Buckeye, real desert country, then moved to Peoria. I worked at several of the hospitals in the city of Phoenix. I missed the changing seasons.
One thing I've found when using masking fluid is if you wet your pencil sketch before applying the mask, it doesn't lift it up as the water sets the graphite into the paper C:
This was really helpful as I'm trying to paint something for a good friend of mine. Watercolours are my favourite medium to work in so far :D
I just bought some liquid acrylics, but haven't tried them yet. Friends use them and they look great. I love watercolor because I can always go back and change things - they give you a lot of freedom.
A really lovely and clear video, Thankyou.
