Of course, Iranian women don't have full rights today. Under Shah regime, a tiny minority of women "enjoyed" freedom and opportunities and during early years of Islamic Regime women's rights were almost abolished by Mullahs. Fortunately, Iranian society has evoluted toward more rights. Today Iranian women are imposed to wear islamic veil (scarfs are replacing chadors) but their presence is in all fields of Iranian society. Today Iranian women are not like saudies slaves!!

People can make changes but they wont. When i went to Iran this summer, the buss of the mens part was full and the womans part was much space left. I said in Persian: Why are you listing to these ridiculous rules? and went to the womans part. After that, the other guys did the same. There needs to be someone to tell them to not be scared. Iran can be free in just a month time if the Iranian people realy want it, but they are scared.

Iranian society is not naturally like this. Of course in Iran, like in every society, women are not equal to men. But women in Iranian society do not have a bad place, and the position of women was improving very rapidly before the revolution. What has happened is the mullahs and sharia law have ARTIFICIALLY kept the society at a standstill and not allowed women any rights. When the society is ready for many things, the government doesnt allow it, and thats why we have this bad situation.
