Michael Ende kenne ich nicht, aber trotzdem weiss ich wass er sagen will.  Das Lied ist einer der Besten von Tocotronic.

"Michael Ende, you destroyed my life!" You know the writer Michael Ende? this song is about the influential from him about the youth. When mans seriously is it really easy for the needy youth of today.

Sure, Ende is my favorite writer. I don't understand why the song say that Michael destroyed the life of the singer... I don't think Michael Ende have a bad influence to children! :)

@MerishaLane The way I understand it, the song is not claiming Ende is a "bad influence", but ironically stating that he's a "difficult influence". His books ("Momo" being a prime example) tend to view grown-up society with a kind of disdain. His readers will still eventually have to grow up and try to live within it.

Michael Ende has destroyed our lives by opening our young eyes to our "hopeless situation": he's "crossed us out of society".

oh, ich war damals so verrückt nach der Musik, beim Friseur hatte ich immer ein Foto von Dirk mit und wollte den selben Haarschnitt (und ich bin kein Mann). Sogar Gitarre habe ich wegen dieser Band gelernt. Schön, die Hamburger Schule war wirklich cool!!!!

Ich hab den Song zwar auch auf dem Computer, aber das Lied ist so geil. Ich sing das immer so richtig laut mit, und zwar eher weniger, wegen dem Text, sondern weil die Melodie und alles SOO SUPER ist!
