Yes, it has a subwoofer. The sound is not all that loud, as you might expect, but it's surprisingly crisp and the sub adds a nice bit of bass. On a number scale, I'd give the sound an 8/10. As for the memory, it takes 667 DDR2.

i read that there was a subwoofer in the netbook and how did u get the 667mhz on there if it takes 533?

Yes, but the performance boost won't be significant enough to justify the reduced battery life and extra heat.
