I have found where to put your costum maps.  AppData/Roaming/The Battle For Middle Earth Maps. but "AppData" is a hidden file. You ll have to search for AppData. (Windows Vista).

guys.... this MIGHT help.... if u have the problem where u make the map and u cant find it.... go to edit..... and edit map settings....then make the name for ur map and at the very bottom type in what ever u want.... it worked for me

@dredgeco1 If ur game is installed in the default location (C drive) u should be ok. when on world builder, click SAVE AS, then go to the USER tab, type ur map name in the box below and click OK. Or save ur map to ur desktop, and then copy it to "C:/users/-username-/appdata/r­oaming/my battle for middle earth files/maps"

A lot of you are having troubles because the map isn't appearing inside of the game. I haven't used the editor recently but I think that this problem has to do with the teams. You may need to set up teams in order to play the map. It is in one of the menus.

Hi guy's, i know the problem for saving and playing..

i discoverd how you can play the maps you make in world builder,

1st. Edit/Edit map settings...

2th. File/Save as

then, for the 3 step, select browse... and put you file in a map you make on the next place in your PC :

C:\Documents and Settings\Hollink\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files\Maps\ plaatsten

File Hollink, is my pc name.. so there you click on your pc name.

So for everyone who wants to know how to play maps, you go to edit players and press add skirmish. then add two waypoints where each player will start and name them player 1 start and player 2 start and so on if u want more.

I maded a helms deeep map V3.6 (now version 4.6, btw its MUCH better with added music etc etc)

I would like to no if; "can you make elfs (like the ones in helms deep) have a longer range cozs I would like them to fire over the deeping wall (like in the movie) when I click a unit in worldbuilder and go on "logical" it says "Targeting" now is "Targeting" the range of the bow? If you have waypoints with player start locations then save the map, then start up the game, on skirmish and find your map down the menu of maps.

NOTE: it should have the little hammer next to the map (instead of the star) to show its a player made map.

Units cannot pass this border, but its so you can make landscapes behind the border so its not just a black dead end, and i think you can make units enter the map from behind the border.

Thats a lot more complicated. Atm i only know how to upgrade units, make them better,worse. Add the grey units over the map (like warg lair) and make capture buildings (outpost, signal fire)
