Actually, some of these test chambers are in the game, they just look alittle different. The one at 1:04 was in the game. The one at 1:13 seems very much like a test chamber in the game. As does the one at 1:17. I do wish they added some of the other levels in the game though.

A lot of ideas never make into the final game. Valve have allways taken things out that are not fun or don't work well. Having played the Game through now it's visually obvious this is not a finished level.

In this case I suspect these are just Tech Demo's so it does not interfere with development of the actuall product.

A lot example of this can be seen in HL2 if you saw the original demo video's, the Hydra being one example.

@Dagg215 Now now, be fair... Remember that the Portal Gun was designed as an attempt to make a shower curtain and GLaDOS was originally meant to be a jet-fuel defroster. So it's fair to say that Aperature Science is symontaniously the best and worst laboratory of all time. They build wonderful things, but never what they meant.
