wow you guys need to stop refering to the english version which crudely translates all of the lines in this game and learn some japanese before you make stupid comment,
@uky0chan The translation would likely be "Wow, amazing isn't it?" But a good translation isn't just putting the words from one language to the other, it's adapting to what makes more sense in a language. "Wow you go big guy" is still a correct translation in the sense it means roughly the same and flows better.
She is not saying "wow, you go big guy" she is saying basically "you're amazing". When she says "sugoi" that means amzaing when she adds "desu ne" Its a polite way to say you're.
@Fujinken89 *msh11201996 has gained a level of moonspeak, then realizes that he already know this, but still thanks Fujinken for accuracy and explanation.*
@Bio8167 You´re not telling the truth, since what she says is, as I said before, something like 'awesome!'. 'Wow you go big guy' is what she says in the English version. In fact, you don´t know Japanese at all.
@Firewolf269 She seems to say 'peki peki peki desu ka'. 'Desu ka' is usually added at the end of a question. I´m not sure about 'peki peki'. The only thing that comes to my mind is that peki peki is an onomatopoeia whose meaning is similar to 'blah blah'. Onomatopoeias are really important in Japan, and they are often used during informal conversations.
@WalkthroughsMadeEasy tiki tiki tiki desuka? eh sugoi desu ne? which translate to "blah blah blah (desuka is added at the end of a question)? wow, thats cool"
@shadow524951 Do you mean the japanese letter by the plankton? (I think they're planktons) I think it just says Player or something, so it will be translated.
@shadow524951 Well, it's probably going to be translated. Not sure what it says, but yeah, it's probably going to be translated. I hope they don't translate the songs...
@Martboo48 A video of the same game from different user was in best video of the day on daily inside gaming from machinema, this video and many more are in related so people go around and watch them... it's how I started watching these clips anyhow
I find this game annoyingly japanese but also utterly awesome by the same time. Of course, I don't own it and they don't sell it in my country, but maybe some day..
@OhjainHangeriGP The game is going to be released worldwide, and the translated versions of the game are usually worse than the original, Japanese version
@Martboo48 good to know, this world does not offer enough of rhythm games like this one, all they release is war game#7856 etc etc. can't wait for european launch of this
@Martboo48 Well, I'd rather have it translated to English than playing Japanese version. No one can understand Japanese and plus the original version make us feel unwelcome.
@wii1245 Personally I feel the best compromise would be to translate the written text but leave the sound alone. It's a *music* game after all, and when you change the sound you risk corrupting the music. The audio cues don't really have to sound like anything as long as you can tell the difference between the "tap once" and "tap twice" cues.
@nupanick I agree, but I´m almost 100% sure they´ll translate completely everything, since that´s what they did with the DS version. Man, they even translated the songs to Spanish, French, German, ect. Furthermore, games like Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7, which were released less than two months ago, were the first Mario games to be translated to Dutch, Portuguese and Russian, which probably means that Nintendo is more interested in translating their games at present than ever before.
@Martboo48 I suspect that the game designers realized that the DS dub was a mistake, particularly Dazzles, which could be why this game's similar "Book Club" stage is pre-subtitled. In fact, the only other stages requiring non-trivial dubbing would be Romantic Rap, Karate Man Wii, and the end credits. Other than those four stages they did a pretty good job using minimal spoken words, and frankly I appreciate a music game with actual singing.
