It wasn't an ignorant explanation, it was simply a remark to arouse humor. No ill feelings were desired or necessary. A sense of humor would be appreciated.
oohh i see they use the new pontiac g8 gt. thats gonna be a pain to lose in a chase! lol they need something like that over here in the U.S. but then again they have Chargers and the odd Magnums. i heard they might bring some STi's into the police force to stop street racers and stuff, but idk if they'll bring them here
nah mate, the pontiac is an imported australian holden. designed and built in australia. then the americans import it to the US stick a Pontiac badge on it and say its theres... thats the Stupid thing bout being owned by GM....
wth?? biters lol. but yo that crown vic sounds like it has a turbo if you listen to it loud, or maybe its the icebox intake. but yea, thats like Dodge. They're made in germany and then imported to America and America buys them and makes it theirs, but then they're not dumb enough to put that as a GM model either. But also, i notced that where you are they also have the Chevrolet/Holden Malibu 2007+. Instead we get the Pontiac G8 series
no its not, Crown Vic p71's are normally aspirated. if it was turbocharged or especially supercharged it would have too much power on the wheels and the it'll be hard to control
no theyre not bro, all p71s are the same. same motor as a stock crown vic, just with aftermarket headers, intake, and ecu chip, all together upgrading it to 250hp. they also do a weight reduction kit, also including carbon roll bars, which reduces the weight to 4,068. if you dont believe me look on wikipedia. thats where i found most of the information, and my cousin who used to work for Ford used to help build up the P71s so he knows whats in them. btw, wiki's info on cars usually isnt false
No problem, think of it this way, i would have thought that a car that big with a 4.6L V8 would produce more than 224hp(stock) or 250(P71), but when i told that to my cousin he told me straight out "This is why you're not a mechanic". The cops especially need the crown vic or even the Impala or Charger to have the most controllable power, bcos too much power on the wheels will cause it to spin out during hard accelration. Cops need to have a controlled amount of power especially during pursuits
They did pretty good. Nice video. :)

@AutumnLeaves86 No its secret information, they dont want the terrorist knowing.
They do them almost everyday in some part of NYC.
Its just another cog in the police state false fear they create to control the NYC citizens.

Readiness drills, it's to ensure they can get on scene quickly and restore order. But your ignorant explanation works too I suppose...

The P71's here are 4.6l V8 supercharged engines. And yes, they are hard to control.
