@mdmowrey i am 15 years old and shoot the beretta 391 urika 2 for my highschool trap shooting team. i have fired 1000s of rounds through this gun and it has the same problem. these guns need to be clean and oiled regularly to keep this from happening. (fwi: i usually fire rio or remmington gun club rounds in the gun.)
@turboturd500 I have run about 2000-2500 rounds a year through this since 2004 with months between cleanings without malfunctions until 2011. Based on my experience, I would have to tend to disagree that they NEED regular cleaning and oiling. This Teknys made a trip to Cole Gunsmithing, a premier gunsmith, for repair and tuning and continued to exhibit a failure to eject. I am no longer the owner of this particular shotgun. I have replaced it with a Benelli SuperSport and couldn't be happier.
Its really unusual for these guns to play up - I had an A303 for 7 years and never jammed once - must be a problem with the action/bolt/extractor. Looks like you are in the States so perhaps Beretta USA can help? In the UK GMK import Berettas and they are really helpful - I am sure Beretta USA should be even better! If no good then its time to trade up - the Benelli Rafaello Super Sports looks interesting!
In May 2010 Beretta USA transitioned most of its servicing to authorized service centers. Beretta will only provide service if the service center refers customers to Beretta. This is why I sent my Teknys Gold to Cole Gunsmithing, a Beretta authorized service center. Cole did "tune" the bolt by chamfering one of the corners. This did make the bolt action very smooth and the gun did cycle shell for a week or so before failing again. I have upgraded to the Benelli Super Sport.
I have always used Federal target loads from WalMart or Federal Top Gun loads. The shells are usually 1-1/8oz. loads and sometimes 1oz at 2-3/4 DRAM. This equates to 32 grams and 28 grams respectively. I would not exactly consider them to be light loads. Yes, they are cheap shells, but I have been using them for the past 6 years without any problem.

I have one of these and it only likes loads of 24 grams and over. Anything less and it jams like yours - what shells are you using?
