the thing about jkd is i see it as really impractical, i used 2 be in jkd, and i never saw in my LIFE a guy that could see punches coming so fast that he could "intercept" them!!! to do that takes YEARS of heavy duty training on just drills and repititions. And even with my sifu's who look really good i cant say that they are because i never seen them spar

In jeet kune do martial art , its teach you what you should not do,you can do anything you want but its does not teach what you should do, this video should explain the way what the real jeet kune do explain.A lot of peoples out there learn a bit of jeet kune do stuff and claim themself a jkd expert.They don know enough yet what jkd is all about, its a very deep art as Bruce Lee have study ''TAO'' a very deep meaning which have study in china for more than 1,000 years ago.

well you know what demonstration means? for me personally when i teach wing chun for example i'd do it slow first, so yes breaking it down so the student can see *NOT REALLY TRYING TO LAND A PUNCH* and then i do it fast where i tell him to hit me as hard as he can then I destroy him lol

Intercepting is Wing Chun and JKD. Bruce used the name of the Wing Chun straight punch, the "Jeet Kune" to name his system. The Way of the Intercepting Fist. Right from Wing Chun.

Partially correct. wing chun teaches jeetsao, intercepting. Interception happens when we respond to the attack with ours before the opponents weapon(hand, foot) becomes a threat. Attack on the preperation. In JKD the inteception is generally longest weapon to nearest target, foot to knee. Finger jab to eye. This video demonstrates the FMA response, defanging the snake. Strike the attacking limb. Inosanto, Vunak interpretation of JKD. Not exactly the way that Lee did it.
