@merjhoe this is film from Gurung ethnic group in Nepal. Gurung is one of many Mongoloid/ Tibeto-Burmese race in Nepal. Many scholars, historian and anthropologist have pointed and proved that Nepal used to be a melting pot for people in ancient time. Some people migrated to Nepal from Mongolia, some from Siberia. Others came from Tibet and Burma(Myanmar). And there are those that came from India. I am from Rai community by the way.

@cchettry, Bodos (also known as kachari) from Assam , India are Kirats too. Bodos in their ancient years used to pray their forefathers. But due to encroachment by Brahmin and Chettri, they have been influenced and sanskritized into Hinduism and some have become Christians. The Bodo language is of Tibeto-Burmese family which adheres again to Kirat. And yes definitely Kirats-Bodo are demanding separate freedom from Indian rule. That's why Kirats-Bodo militants kill anyone who oppose them.

@cchettry since you already claimed that Kirat-Bodos worship Lord Shiva, it give even more solid evident that worshiping of mother nature-land(Shivaism) indeed originated from Kiratas and NOT aryan.

There's nothing about trinity concept(brahma-vishnu-siva) in RigVeda texts which is the oldest hindu scriptures. this trinity concept only appears from 500 A.D gives concrete evidence that lord shiva indeed came from Kirat culture. By 500 A.D Aryan have arrived from indus valley into Himalayas.

According to the work "Nepali Rajniti ma Adhekhai Sachai"(Hidden facts in Nepalese Politics) by Gopal Gurung, many of the original Kirat religion and culture was banned during the Rana government and all sort of Kiranti documents were burned and destroy which the office used to call Jatiya nasta bivag.

Do anyone know about this. Please let me know cauz i am doing research on some of the crimes committed by Rana and Shah government. Paras Shah murdered Pravin Gurung yet he is still free. why?
