  • - Romantic Brothers - FLOWERS - ! U must to listen this great i-tunes smash! Hilarious! About politics, economy & war! Real situation song.

  • stop listening to ant goverments

  • DEMOCRATS ARE SCUM

  • dude everyone knows that already lol

  • That's it Glenn blame corporate America last. Besides, you're their spokesman. Who do we elect to office? And who gives them campaign funding? Corporate America has our government as their bitch. That's why there are 70 corporate lobbyists in Washington per congressman. Does the gov. has its own TV station? Corporations have a ton of them. Wake the hell up people. Big business and big gov. are so in bed they should be gay married. How often does gov. take taxes to give to corporate contracts?

  • Corrupt politicians keep the cycle going by paying off thier supporters thru tax loopholes and bailouts. What you are basically saying by your statement is that succeeding is bad if you get richer than everyone else. Gov. needs to stay the heck outa the private sector. Corporate America is the innovative part of America... government squashes innovation when it puts all kinds of regulation all over everything. What government touches it ruins.

  • bs peak oil is bs i agree doubling the fuel efficency will do more than finding any oil but there is lots of oil don't believe this bs they are trying to drive up the cost and they are trying to get governments to pay for new drilling thats what it is about look up alberta oil there is 1.7 trillion barrels of oil

  • Hydroelectric power. Can think of anything cleaner than that... it's water!

  • What about wind energy?

  • I gladly pay 3 times for liquid fuel as long Hamas dosent benefit.

cant think of anyone who pisses me worse.

  • Dude...this is a family show...but I agree with you. These idiots truly believe the consumption of energy will result in the death of our planet. If everyone really wanted to live without fossil fuel Amish country would be a heck of a lot bigger don't you think? I'll bet the libs are the first ones to scoff at the Amish and imply they're foolish.

  • the Democrats say: if you just fill up when your tank is half empty, its practically the same price is last year!,, LET US EAT CAKE FFFFUUUUCCCCKKKK YOOOOU

  • The Fed deploys the speculators who raise the price of oil, because they perceive high oil prices as being in the general interests of the US economy. The pop in the housing bubble is threatening *deflation*, which is the Fed's worst nightmare. By artificially raising oil prices, they wish to raise asset prices and counter deflationary inertia. They did the same thing in 1973 (6 Day War was conjured) and 2002 (oil past $50/barrel after tech. bubble burst). Doesn't mean it'll work this time...

  • Speculators are normal people who are observing market forces and "betting" on the trend in the market place. If we'd move aggressively in the direction of increasing supply the trend would tend to level off and maybe even go down. Speculators buying options way above today's market would loose. Like betting on a horse race. The number of people betting affects the odds and the value of your payout, but it doesn't influence which horse wins the race. If America will DRILL it changes who wins.

  • netstepinc, the "horse race" you are analogizing is a fixed race, courtesy of the Fed. Tactically doing away with the M3 figure, then pumping up liquidity ad naseum to supposedly fight deflation, which then triggers oil prices to catch up to inflation by surpassing $140/barrel, does not an even horse race make.

  • No doubt our insane monetary policy is wrecking our economy and driving up oil prices. But are you saying that a flat or declining supply and and skyrocketing global demand has no effect? Do you think aggressively increasing supply will help? Aren't we in the perfect economic storm?

  • No, I'm saying a flat or declining supply and skyrocketing global demand are ruses for what's going on. Do you realize just how drastically said supply/demand equation would have needed to change **within the past 9 months** in order to warrant such an unprecedented spiking in the price of oil?!? NO, this is the work of the King Speculator, the Federal Reserve, and its deployed minions.

  • Yes. Obviously supply wasn't cut in half and/or demand doubled in 9 months to get double the price at the pump. However, in the absence of any increase in domestic supply in the foreseeable future, it's reasonable for all minions and non-minions to speculate the prices of oil will continue to rise even based on the Euro. My point is though the Fed has F--- up the money supply, that doesn't decrease our need for increased domestic oil production. I don't like sending all our money over seas.

  • We agree completely. I would hope that further drilling would start in Colorado, Alaska, and anywhere else domestically that has great potential (Gulf of Mexico's Cantarell field, Canada, etc.). Drill away I say...

  • Fox reported a few Dems (by name) against drilling in US, have large investments in oil stock- so who are the speculators they want to go after and whose making money off our pain? They just wished the prices went up slower so we could get used to it and nothing is done. No plan. The Republicans in Congress have signed a committment to drill... it is the Dem Majority preventing us from being oil independent, secure, & stop petrol dollar flow to terrorists overseas. We fight wars twice this way.

  • Well of course, any THINKING person knows it's the libs in Congress who are keeping us from getting at our own natural resources. Don't think so? Why is it illegal to drill off our coasts? In ANWR? Because the libs say so, that's why. Wasn't it our pal Bubby who vetoed the law that would have let us drill in ANWR in 1995? Of course it was. Maxine Waters said it herself - their goal is to socialize the oil industry. But - shhhh, don't tell anyone, let's blame Bush instead. Yeah, hate Bush!

  • I want to listen... but, the audio quality is soooooooo bbbbaaaadddd. Please, watch the signal level when recording and preview before posting. "Over-modulation" is the enemy of your ear...

  • Dear Rubes,

Please try this. Trade in your 8 MPG idiot mobile for a 30 MPG vehicle. Car pool, take public transportation, walk, ride a bike, scooter or motorcycle. Bundle your chores and do them all on one trip. Change your driving habits and old Newt wont have to keep lying to you. The ball is in your court. George W Bush said that you are addicted to oil! Do you believe him?

  • That's all good advice TronicOne. Now what is your solution to those of us in "fly-over country" where we have to commute 20-50 miles or more each way to work? No mass transit here. Too far to bike. You have to weigh the risk of riding motorcycles/scooters day-in and day-out long distances with cost savings. It wouldn't pay if you get into one bad accident and wind up in a wheelchair or dead leaving your wife a widow and kids without a father (or mother). It's not as simple as you think.

  • Sorry TronicOne, this is a response to Ictrout.

  • Sorry but, I just wanted to say your a fuckin idiot

  • God I wish these stupid government educated idiot mind numb robots would take a simple economics class....and then they would realize that the ENTIRE Us Congress has been bought and paid for by the UN Middle eastern cartel not "Exxon". (Sorry liberalistas and Conservativistas, But your doing exactly what they want you to do..they believe in devide first then conquer{marxism in its finest}.) They get you arguing with each other so you won't pay any attention to them! 535 bastards in DC to shoot!

  • Spot on bro!

  • there are soooo many rushie necons ... charlie manson, jefferie dahmer ... who insist that nuclear power is the way to go ... but they hardly mention that nuclear power has no liability insurance ... it stands alone in the insurance world ... and hey ... if you spent one penny for each day you stored each 55 gallon drum of nuclear waste ... you would need $36,000 for each drum of nuclear waste ... and lastly ... you need 0.7 KW of oil & coal energy to make 1 KW nuclear energy from fuel rods

  • EPA official critical of the rushie neocon approach toward global warming saying there has been no progress ... and that the jefery dahmer is not confronting the challenges but trying to delay the inevitable ... and in the meantime ... people are getting killed left and right ... that's why dahmer i mean the rushies need to be held accountable ... a killer is a killer is a killer ... and why the delay ... money & more money... and because dahmer thinks he can convince anybody of anything

  • From you postings you reveal that you have no concept of what a "neocon" is. Rush is a flat-out, straight up conservative. Neocons are not really conservatives --- hence the term NEO-con. Neocons are actually Democrats who crossed the political aisle in the '80s to help Reagan achieve his landslide victories. Neocons are actually DEMOCRATS that happpen to vote republican. They are in no way true conservatives in the Buchanan, Gingrich, Limbaugh mold. Stop listening to AirAmerica nonsense.

  • I don't think it's so much the 'neocons' as it is EVERYONE in Washington DC, we elected these people, but they sold us out, and were bought by special interest

  • 75% blame our fuehrer policies for deteriorating economy .. $1B/day for nation building in iraq is causing gasoline prices to soar .. and the oil lobbyists rushie neocons insist that the war must continue for at least another hundred years .. by then gasoline should be at least $2,000/gal .. the rushie neocons believe the way to clean energy is to get more oil and coal and nuclear power ... but nuclear requires sooo much oil & coal to make its fuel rods ... it's win/win .. don't be a bush basher

  • the rushie neocons continue to say that obama is the reason for the high gasoline prices ... but i tell you ... 3 of 3 911 wtc skyscrapers cannot fall straight down at free fall speeds due to fire ... so don't believe charlie manson ... i mean the rushie neocons telling you that the police are at fault ... their energy plans were messed up when their energy czar ken lay was arrested and convicted for extorting billions by rolling electric black outs ... charlie thinks the gop will believe anyone

  • Could you take off the tin foil helmet for a minute, and please define neocon...Is it just anyone that disagrees with you?

  • obama is claiming the price of oil is being raised because of the enron loophole ... but hey ... you gotta admit ... who caused the current gasoline crisis anyway .. i tell you it is because at the highest levels of the fuehrer's govt .. there is zero planning ... and why is that so .. because the neocons played the lobbyist enron game .. created false energy shortages .. drove the prices upward .. created rolling blackouts .. turned off millions of stop lights ... can you trust people like that

  • STFU idiot

  • The concept is simple yet profound --- when lot's of people demand a product that is scarce it's value goes up (and UP!) When plenty of that product exists - there's competition and the price goes down! There are simply too many people demanding a product that there's not enough of. And part of that reason is the several moratoriums on petroleum production enacted on behalf of leftists in this country. And this is why your car will one day be too expensive to drive. DRILl NOW!!

  • The demand did not go up 30% in the past 6 months.

  • overmind, very true. But there is now huge demand in China and India is not far behind. Remember Oil speculation is ultimately a WORLD market. China's in the game now with it's 2 billion population. A nation like that puts pressure on the oil producing nations. to pump yet ever more. Meanwhile, in this country we have legislated various restrictions on supply for decades which are now coming home to roost and hurt the consumer in the name of environmentalism.

  • The current problem began over 3 decades ago when we decided gradually (meaning politicians) caved into enviro extremists pressure not to drill, not to build refineries, not to construct new Nuclear facilities. And what happened? US population increased 3X, cars on the road increased 20X and yet we only have the productive capacity of a 1970s USA. You simply cannot have all these cars and people demanding energy resources with the existing structures that exist today.

  • the rushie neocons are again playing politics with energy ... lift on offshore drilling, nuclear power, clean coal ... the requests comes again from out of the blue ... but still no comprehensive energy plan ... the rushie neocons killed their energy plan years ago when their leader ... ken lay ... was arrested and convicted of using enron to game energy to steal billions from the public with rolling blackouts ... the rushie neocons continue to steal money from you with no energy alternatives

  • obama says bin laden is free because the rushie neocons never tries to catch him ... the rushies best pals of the members of the bin laden family ... they are business partners and the closest of personal friends ... that's why they were the first to fly after 911 ... the members of the family are treated special by the rushie neocons ... obama is right ... it is time for a change ... we need people in govt who are not best buddies with the enemy ... and to quit stealing from our nuclear arsenal

  • Wow do you ever put on pants and leave your basement? I can't believe the ignorant swill you are posting as fact. Is your phone ringing? They may need you to come in early at the video store.

  • BTW Hamass has endorsed Obama for President.

  • Speed220... you're right on the money! Politicians today have to create a plausible (cough) diversion in order to cloud what the more impending issues are, otherwise, they could never afford to run for office! It is true --- we've not only lost our moral compass, but we're a society that has become desensitized and disinterested to the news that matters. We (on the whole) would rather hear about some Hollywood person's DUI or illegitimate baby, etc., etc. (yawn)

  • we'll be starving for the same reason they starve in africa

  • It's really refreshing to have someone like Beck cut through the political fog of global warming and environmentalist myths using common sense.

  • Glenn is the greatest. For once someone is HONEST and speaking for the people! He isn't caught up in the corruption called "Screw the people if there's money in it for me." I wish he'd run for office!! HE WOULD MAKE A REAL CHANGE INSTEAD OF TALK ABOUT IT!

  • I LOVE GLENN BECK!!

maybe he should run for congress?? Seriously, he needs too.

  • Omg' Our goverment has become a dictatorship and we are the slaves to high oil & gas prices. And just think, this may never stop. Gas prices will just keep going up, up and up some more.

  • Reagan said it best: government is not the solution, government is the problem.

Leave it to the free market. Congress should get the heck out of the business of trying to dictate energy policy.

  • We are so worried about nature we won't drill our oil, we just buy it from someone else. as if they don't drill the same earth to get theirs. what we need is a law against elitist aholes driving their suvs around town to put the baby to sleep. single family houses that exceed any reasonable requirement should be outlawed.

  • Thanks you socialist pig. :)

  • What country are you in? Can't be America that would built by and because of personal freedom and self-determination. That thing that is tricking about encouraging the government to take away someone else's liberty is there will come a day when it comes to take your liberty too. It's a slippery slope. Is it wise to drive your kid around to put them to sleep? Nope. Set them on the washing machine and multi-task...and don't let the inmates run the asylum and dictate when it's time for bed.

  • Of course! It's the democratic congress! I knew it all along! Give me a break,.

  • What is your point? Are you saying non of the conflicts we have been involved in have been justified or necessary for our survival?

Would you say America has been a force for good or evil in the world?

We're not imperialistic (take and hold ground) we conquer and set people free wherever we can.

  • atleast carter had the balls to stand up to opec

  • RU kidding me? Carter was a joke who did more to diminish our standing in the world then any President since. He was easily one of the worst Presidents of the 20th century.

  • We have PLENTY of oil Watch "The Energy Non Crisis" by Lindsey Williams" and follow it up with "Syndrone of control" and "Confessions of an Economic hitman"

We (the U.S) has two of the hugest oil feilds in the world (now I believe 3) actually (the third not mntioned here). But just one of these is enough to sustain us for 200 years.

They are doing this crap on purpose, not only that but they know about ZERO energy, they want our money and are breaking the economy purposefully

  • LOL! The sun causes global warming. Liberals just feel the sun on their faces and blame America first.

  • LMAO! Thank you for telling it like it is.

  • Beck is half right. We do need alternatives. Why doesn't he talk about efficiency and conservation???? Because no business is gonna make money on it.

I'm tired of this argument of "protecting our way of life". Some of the ways we live are self-defeating. Driving an hour and a half in traffic from your suburb home to your job is wasted time, gas and money. Driving an extra 10 miles to the mall that sells a sweater for 10 dollars less than the store close to your house is also a waste of gas.

  • Of course people will make money with great inventions. Ever heard of GE? In addition to owning ABC, they own a butt load of alt-energy patents. Some of our cultural driving is nutty. I got a job 35 miles (45min) away from my house and close to the city. I don't like the drive but I'm not going to move to the city. I carpool part of the time. It would take 2hr both ways on transit. Not everyone has the flexibility to get a job close to home or ride transit. Let's focus on empowering freedom.

  • I really see ~50% of the miles we drive here in the USA as unnecessary. The more oil costs, the less we drive, and the less we pollute. It's not all bad. Either way we are running out of oil and need to look at alternatives. Prices will go up either way.

Right now though it is not a sudden jump in demand fueling these high prices, but our weak dollar. Our FED has ruined our dollar, that is why gasoline is where it is. We need more weak dollars to buy the same amount of fuel we could earlier.

  • You've got your head in the sand if you think we can get off oil. We're talking about liquid fuels that drive our machinery, airplanes, rail, truck and cars. We could all be driving 100mpg cars and it wouldn't decrease our need for increased supply that much. We're not running out of oil...we have at least 100 years worth in North America alone. We just aren't pumping it. You're spot on about the dollar = FUBAR. Innovation and conservation are key, but our economy needs oil to run.

  • netstepinc - we've gotten by without it. And it will be necessary to do so again. Not overnight, but it is a fact that it is finite.

Conservation is the cheapest and best solution for the environment. I am simply surprised at how little mention it gets, What do you think?

do you know nuke power has never been feasible in a free market? it is heavily subsidized.

  • Do you think we can continue to maintain and/or grow our economy through conservation? I agree it's a critical part of the plan but it's not a solution in and of itself. But we use oil and oil related products in every aspect of life. Innovation is necessary, but with what are we going to replace plastic? With what are we going to use to power our excavators, locomotives, trucks and airplanes? We can find innovative technology for maximizing oil efficiency, but the demand for it won't decrease.

  • I'd be lying if I said i know what we'll do in a post-oil world. But we've gotten by without it in the past and we will have to again. It is not a choice. It just is. Plastic, hate it. Sure some good uses, but most are unnecesaary. Dishes, products are the cheap ones when made of plastic. We have compostable cellulose now, which is really a plastic, but better.

How much of our economy, the planes, trains, and automoblies you mention would you say are for our needs, and how much for our wants?

  • You've hit on a critical point. For the foreseeable future we need oil. I believe it would be wise to pump our own instead of finance those who wish to do us harm. Plastic is overused, but it has its place...in keyboards for example. It's more than coffee cups. Go to a hospital and see how much plastic they use to help put people back together. RE equipment: Some build roads, houses, schools, etc. Others move our food and products around. I won't defend our consumerism, but that's not "evil".

  • "how much for our wants?" ...lots of it of course. Here's the rub, if you've come to a place where you live close to your job, low-plastic, low-energy consumption life and seldom travel for business, pleasure or family, then you're set for life...in one place. My issues is that not everyone, including myself, have arrived at that place in life and I don't like it when other people expect me to live exactly like them. This is not communist Russia. Don't presume you know what is best for me.

  • yeah, a whole lot for our wants. And it violates property rights, because we harm everyone's air and water with the pollution of our lifestyle.

near the end of your comment you turn a general statement on me? whoa relax, i hope you didn't mean me. Just stop subsidizing environmentally harmful industries. That is all. The rest will work itself out. Simple idea, but takes serious political balls.

You know a lot could be acheived by just giving people ideas and options.

  • Na. Not a personal "you" but more the collective liberal mindset that implies that striving for more and/or greatness of one form or another somehow takes something away from someone else. I'm 100% behind innovative technology. I've been a PopScience/Mechanics subscriber for years. However, we need to live in there here and now too...and now we are funding our enemies. I'd rather fund Alaska and North Dakota. Drill baby.

  • Yes we are funding our enemies. But I'd rather support wind and solar. I don't think oil needs support.

  • I don't want to "support" oil, but I don't want to hinder it either. There are eco-friendly ways to drill and pipe oil that leave an extremely small footprint with minimal risk. I say, let them drill domestically in Alaska and North Dakota/Montana, etc. There is massive potential for coal-to-oil technology in Montana which is certainly messier, but if companies can do it without completely trashing the surrounding eco-system, why not let them? The carbon footprint of America won't change.

  • netstepinc, sure they should be allowed to drill. However the sooner we embrace so called "alternative" technologies, the stronger as a nation we become.

  • Wind and Solar are great, if you don't mind covering huge tracts of land with solar cell banks and wind towers - maybe as much as 1/3 of the habitable US just to provide the US energy demand. That means removing farmland from use as farmland & converting it to energy production. That also means a tremendous impact on animal habitats - 1000's of times greater than the impact created by drilling for oil. Until these technologies (and others) are better developed, the demand for oil will continue.

  • I've installed about 100 renewable energy systems on people's homes, no extra land needed, that supply their needs.

  • The systems you have installed cover the internal household needs, but very few of us live entirely in our homes, never leaving them, and with all food, sewage, economic, etc... needs met by our homes. The reality is, no house is an island. we all interact, and those interactions take energy: the millions of other ways our society uses energy all add up to a lot more than most people would think. I am not against better ways of producing and using energy, I just see that we're not there yet!

  • dragonsrightwing - sure, we are not there yet 100%. NO-one's talking extremes here. But supplying a home's needs internally is significant, you gotta admit. We don't need to figure it out all right now.

btw these homes actually are interconnected, and supply highly valuable power at peak use times when neighbors and industry purchase it from the home-owner. Surprised?

  • Define 'wants' and 'needs'! by the strictest definitions, we could all return to aboriginal culture and survive, with all our 'needs' met, but I doubt that that would be acceptable to most of the world's population. So the next question becomes 'who gets to determine what is a want and what is a need?' The way I see it (and it seems I agree with the US's Founding Fathers), I should be the one to decide for myself - it is an individual right.

  • ration oil shit, my salary will ration it for me.

  • Bankers ,big corporation ,lawyers and judges .Thats the real problem.Who will stop it!!?>?Ron Paul.Vote Ron Paul.

  • The oil company's can charge anything they want for oil/gas! It won't matter if we drill our own oil cause what will stop them from squeezing more money outta all of us? If we had a REAL leader, he'd go the oil company's and tell'em to bring down the price. They might take bath on it but come on! Everyone needs oil, its not like they'll be losing money in the long run.

  • "tell them to bring down the price"????????

I thought we were capitalist with a free market based economy??? Leave the communism talk to China.

  • There's a fine line between making a buck, and taking a guy for everything he's got, pal. If you like paying four bucks a gallon, be my guest. The American people shouldn't be held hostage by greedy Devil-Worshipping Corperate Zombies!!!

  • Take the bus or ride a bike....if you're not making changes, why should they? Do you honestly feel entitled to live life the way you want to while some else makes the sacrifice?

What does Devil-Worshipping have to do with the price of gas?

  • I work from 3am to 8am at FEDEX twenty-miles from where i live. There is no bus and i wouldn't be able to bike there.

And if you wanna learn about the devil worshipping big business, see TROMA.

  • This is not a zero sum game. If I do well, it doesn't mean someone else does badly. America provides an equal opportunity for everyone to succeed. I've been penniless and lived in a travel trailer for years. Now I have a great job. Conservatives strive for equal opportunity. Liberals strive for equal results. There is a HUGE difference.

  • The Corporate Zombies are you and me and anyone else with a mutual fund in our 401K. Exxon made about $10 billion last year and paid $20 billion in taxes. That $20 billion gets passed on to all consumers too. If the government makes 2x more on a gallon of gas then the oil company, who is the devil-worshipping zombie? Could it be the blood-sucking tyrants in Washington who do not actually produce anything in our economy...but rather choose to legalize ways to take your money and mine.

  • With all the respect allow me to invite you to take a look around you. Things are getting worse quicker than we thought. Bet you'll change your opinion next time you need to fill up the tank ?

  • Is anyone oblivious to the price of gasoline? Things are not getting worse quicker than anyone thought....does the oil embargo of '73 ring a bell? The smoldering fire is now a blaze we have no one to blame but ourselves.

I think it would be very ethical of "Big Oil" to help Joe Timecard out...but government mandates are ridiculous and will not work.

  • If we get serious about drilling for our own oil, the rest of the oil producing countries will be more competitive. In the 80s when we got serious about coal-to-oil technology Opec dropped the price to $8/barrel and removed the incentive to create new technology. You're dealing with a massive increase in demand worldwide without an increase in supply. That's not an evil plot...just a basic law of economics. Exxon accounts for 2% of the oil pumped in the world...they're HUGE but that's NOTHING.

  • I live in Alberta Canada. We produce alot of oil here in this province even more than the whole united states. And we still pay 1.27 a litre!!!! Thats $4.80 US a gallon for gas. Its a fucking rip off.

  • Yes. That makes no sense. My brother lives 10 miles from a refinery and pays more for gas then I do. Your situation is probably a function of the world market too. The companies pumping your oil sell it on the world market. Some of it gets refined and sent back to you. Seems like you guys should be getting a nice royalty as a resident of an oil producing area...like in Kuwait. A lower global cost (more supply) will benefit all of us.

  • Finally, a man that says what people who aren't thinking are thinking.

  • Glenn Beck, you are just awesome! I love how you give the government both barrels! Keep it up!

  • as bad as things are for the Republicans, after 4 years of Pelosi/Obama, I think out next president could make Reagan look like John Edwards.

  • Some say it took Carter to bring us Reagan. There's some truth to that. Heaven help us during Carter 2.0. Hold on to your wallet.

  • Spllit the oil companies!

  • Exxon is huge, but it only pumps 2% of the worlds oil. Big producers like Russia, Venezuela, IRAN, Saudi Arabia make Exxon look like a 7-11 store. Stop swatting flies and discouraging the development of our own resources. Why pay out a billion dollars to tyrants and people that hate us. If we're going to pump oil...and we will for the near future...why not pump our own?

  • Ha! I dislike Glenn Beck, but he's right on the mark with nuclear, solar, wind, hydro power here. Nuclear power is safe.

Not sure drilling for oil in Alaska is a good idea. Some estimates for the oil there is very low.

  • Nukes are kinda like dumps and jails. We need them but most people don't want them nearby. Even the founder of Green Peace is 100% pro nuke-energy as the cleanest form of energy we can get. New technology renders very little fule rod waste. Alaska could generate 1M barrels/day. North Dakota has a MASSIVE recent oil find + off the continental shelf. Tap it all.

  • get out of the big cities especially LA and NYC!!!! i wont worry if they come to my neck of the woods because only smart people will know to get out! :)
