The thing that gets me about all these videos of secret doors is your showing people who might break into a house what to look for. Shouldn't you, ya know, keep it a secret? I go into peoples houses to install things, and I've found two on my own, and had three shown to me by home owners. Just crazy to build em and show em off.

@TheJason227 Sure it is, it tells you HOW TO do it by giving the web site and the title of the book which shows you how to do it. :-) I also agree that the baseboard doesn't look right.

@UnHappyProductions I agree, the baseboard does not appearr to "flow" as it would if this were a true recessed shelf in a wall. The moulding on the door itself at the bottom is too large to flow ( appears an inch or so higher than the baseboard.

Hooray, a basic bookshelf on some heavy-duty hinges, a latch, and some super-huge moulding. Just don't load up that shelf too much or it'll tweak the hinges and ruin your day.
