  • One of the best versions of an epic piece of music and a stunning video to match. Absolutely superb stuff. I've just become a massive fan of your work! All the best from the UK.

  • Truly an inspired melding of sound and vision. I have loved this piece since childhood when I first came across it on vinyl. All your efforts and only 1156 views to date? Something wrong here. We must all spread the word. Maybe if the numbers go up you'll be inspired to do more!

  • @Supervideodrome Thanks for the kind words, your reaction is what keeps me trudging up mountains, sitting in the cold for hours, editing for weeks until my back is ready to seize and my fingers cramp. Working on another big project, theme will be El Paso, about 4 months from completion.

  • Good Grief, if you listen carefully at the very end, that is someone's damn phone going off!!!? Idiots! didn't deserve to be there in the presence of such a powerful & moving performance.

  • @xoio Yeah - the performers heard it too! But, they learn to ignore that stuff. And how about the horrible cough near the start? Oh well ...

  • Such a quality, powerful & moving recording.. Shame about the coughing though :-/

  • What a find on a dark and dreary December Sunday morning in England! Thank you SO much for your truly awesome video. I can't add any more to all the lovely comments here. Thank you again. xx

  • @molshe1 You are most welcome, I hope to someday visit your lovely island ... grey sky and bare trees can be very beautiful.

  • Truly wondrous!! I've been a classical aficionado for many, many years [50]and this piece has always given me chills.....now conbined with this fantastic timelapse just blows my mind!!! I'm a self-taught organist and have a natural knack for musical conducting but just never pursued it realistically...[should have though]. I've lived in many mountainous parts of Colorado for the last 17 years including Silverton. I know where some of these shots were taken....keep up the BEAUTIFUL work, Steve!!!

  • @dswasley Wow - I don't know what to say. Your comment means a lot to me, it really does. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for watching, sharing your feelings, and also for being a fellow lover of this timeless composition. It is feedback like yours that makes the long hours shivering in the cold , and then the even longer hours slaving over an editor, worth it. Live long and Prosper!

  • Thank you sir, this a true testament to the beauty of this music - music784151 says it better then I possibly could.

  • @MrMisterJunior Thanks mucho for taking the time to watch and comment. I'm sorry it took me so long to acknowledge your comment.

  • Magnificent! The orchestra combined with this painstakingly collected video and then edited for this performance.....BRAVO. The Vaugahn Williams "Tallis" has long been one of my all time favorites and I deeply appreciate the love that went into compiling and editing the video to compliment the musical score.

  • @music784151 Thanks! I first fell in love with 'Tallis" in 2009 when the founder of the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestras, Ben Loeb, chose it for the Side By Side performance where the top orchestra and the one below it combine on stage to perform. From the very first day of rehearsal, I was captivated. This is a piece where it seems as if every chord, every note, every transition is perfect - like they were not written so much as discovered, as if every human's brain already contained it.

  • im proud to be a part of this orchestra

  • @xDwepee Hi! I was hoping someone from the NCD group would watch and comment. Did we ever meet? Do you remember Jewell? She really enjoyed the last three summers in Durango. I don't think she will make it this year, every penny is going toward college. Thanks again for watching. You and all the other musicians were amazing.

  • Glory and Wonder!

  • @TRXW Yes! Thanks for watching!

  • Wow, Steve - that was truly beautiful. Thanks.

  • @tbritton33 Thanks! I really appreciate your taking the time to watch. BTW I'm uploading a new vid tonight - the first time I used the new beta of camstudio. Funny - here at home, on a different computer with Win7 instead of XP at work, I still can't get CS lossless 1.5 to work. I'm just using the MS Vid avi codec, works OK.

  • @stevecrye You will soooo love Jawor's Xvid! BUT - get a conversion tool like MediaCoder FLV edition or Any Video Converter to convert to a format you can bring into your editor - a simple step.

I look forward to seeing the new video.

  • Buenísimo

  • @DeePhlat Muchas Gracias!

  • Hey this is excellent work I can estimate the amount of effort spent here and the result is excellent! Great way to present the orchestral music aswell.

Looks like a great place to peace out! :-)

  • @SlaveZero1234 Thanks Jeff! Outside of Alaska, the San Juan's are my favorite North American mountains. BTW I really like your recent postings, hope to put up some meaningful comments tomorrow when I am not so groggy ...

  • Absolute eye, ear and soul candy! Fantastic work Steve!!!

  • @taofledermaus Thanks Jeff! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your watching and your kind words.

  • Very beautiful.. loved it..

  • @hydynryk Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment; it really means a lot to me.

  • Epic Steve! Great job. Really stunning. Hard to believe that was done with the little CX550v. You have pushed the envelope of what can be done with that humble camera. This is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations!

  • @Dblitz70 My Humblest thanks, Drew. I could never have done this without your help. I want everyone to know it was your "Anchorage to Fairbanks" time-lapse that got me started on these. And, your patient criticism of my rough drafts, and pushing me to "edit, edit, edit!" with care and a critical eye made a huge difference. My goal is to not stop here ...

  • @Dblitz70 BTW, I hope you enjoyed the shameless way I used the concert video featuring Jewell on her cello right at the main crescendo of the piece at 10:40! (That clip was shot by Mike Itashiki for the DVD the NCD sells of the performance) I also must thank you for the clue about the "trick", and how to use it with subtlety ...

  • all i can say is- wow! i understand how much time and effort went into this- and it really turned out beautifully! i could watch the shadows of the clouds dance over the mountains for hours. amazing work! im adding this video to my favorites.

  • @coronadopballer Thanks! It was a labor of love, but I too am pleased with the results. Of course, it has flaws, but I try to learn with each new project. Also, sorry about the "approval required" thing - I must have hit that button by mistake; I've set this video to not require approval. Now that I'm done with this project, I will take the time to check out your latest vids.

  • wow! 1:22 is a great shot! and i like the clouds @ 8:35. I know how much time and effort went in to this- and it really is something special! Im adding this to my favorites list!

  • @coronadopballer Thanks, sorry about the strange problems with "pending approval" on your comments. I hope I've fix that. I appreciate your indications about the specific spots in the vid that you liked - I too liked those moments, so we are on the same page.
