it doesn't work in 1.2. the pistons move like here, but you can't go higher then a few blocks. Someone else with the same problem?

Have you tried this on a server? I keep on having timing issues (get stuck in the pistons in the first few floors and fall) and I'm wondering if there's any good fixes.

@lukstarful Were you standing between the two pistons (as in, with one foot on one, the other on the block next to it), did you have the glass in front of it, and are all the delays set correctly? It works in 1.0.0, but only if everything is exactly right (commonly, standing in a slightly wrong spot will cause issues with this type of elevator)

I use a much simple version of this, using less wiring but slower. I would rather have slow than fast, because if you mess up on fast, it's harder to spot.

A thing with coul help you, when you left click on a redstone wire it will create a block on the top of it.

Hey, I followed the design exactly, but sometimes I get stuck in the pistons. Is this because of a timing mistake? I looked the entire thing over and I'm sure I got it down. I built it in a multiplayer server so theres a little bit more lag than normal, will this have an impact on it?

Sadly, this only works on a very small scale for Multiplayer 1.0+.

Tried making one from bedrock to the clouds and kept getting stuck around the 10th block from the bedrock (distance varied randomly).

Otherwise, great tutorial, had very few problems building it if I just followed you step by step.

Hm, it works great in singleplayer, but not in multiplayer. Each time I try to use it, I get stuck in pistons probably because of lag. Can someone upload a version of this one with delayed pistons?

@MrJizou After playing around with it, I found that if you slow the repeaters powering the S to a 3 tick, instead of 2 you wont get stuck within a piston on the way up, and it's not that much slower either

make the delay a little bit longer to have an elevator that would go up, then down with a button and also have a button at the top. Pressing These buttons would also involve and automatic sticky piston whatever block you want door. Also Everything would look much better if the pistons pushed blocks out and up instead of just the pistons. But this is a very good project nice work.

OK, so it does work in single player creative mode in 1.0.0, but in SMP I get stuck on different heights when using the same schematic.

Took me a few tries to stop making mistakes, but this worked in a 1.0.0 creative world and when I get enough goo balls I will attempt to make it work on my SMP server in place of my large spiral stair cases. I guess the need for a sticky piston per Y value climb makes these expensive.

I went back and found that @090Crazyman had a solution that worked for the piston noclipping problems: Just put two normal pistons at the base instead of just one and stand between them.
