That's the sweet spot that I'm talking about! When the tone is quasi clean when you take it easy but then starts to break up and cry when you kick your axe in the butt a little! Refreshing because there are so many gain freaks out there that think they have to play with the gain on 1000 all of the time. It takes a little experience before you start to realize how beautiful clean and quasi clean guitar tones can be!

Yeah I find there to be a nice point at which the tone sings. If it's just 100% gain it just becomes noise. I like to get it just right if I can because to me the whole point of playing is to use unique voices to sculpt landscapes and journeys, not just play notes for playings sake. Here I used the two tone approach left and right to simulate two guitarists. Left I just ran through clean and threw some vibe/phase in and right I used the gain and some wah in the faster part duelling solo.
