More seriously though, do you need to keep the net under the tree while the leaves are falling? Would the leaves pollute the pond or will the leaves just not look nice?

The pond looks very beautiful and very natural, especially after it has been established for a year and all the plants around it have grown.

@whetutu Decomposing leaves add lots of nitrogen to the water. The pond would rebalance itself eventually, but too much nitrogen can cause an algae bloom, and makes the water look murkier in any case.
