    4. Beethoven - Symphony No. 5 - Allegro con Brio

    2. Verdi - Messa da Requiem - Tuba Mirum

    5. Prokofiev - Montagues and Capulets

  • My favourite Wagner - Die Walkure

  • Some of the star wars orchestral music is very powerful too. For exampls: Duel of Fates, Battle of the Heroes.

  • @uyvl Bach isn't classical music. He was a baroque composer born the same year as Handel and Scarlatti - 1685 - during rococo period. Classical = 1800s also known as romantic music which would of been rejected by the courts of music during the baroque period.

  • @d3sired Wow, you need to get your music history straight!!!! Seriously, there are some outrageous flaws in what you're saying! The Only thing you got right was the year of birth of the three mentioned composers and that bach was a baroque composer. And, btw, "classical" may refer to music from the wienclassicistic era, as well as all music between the renaissance and modernism that is not folk music or popular music.

  • @moltoallegro19 Classical isn't between renaissance and modernism. Classical itself was a movement of music right before it turned into romanticism music although some of it is also classical.

  • @d3sired There are two definitions of "classical" when talking about music: the classicistic era and "classical music" as the popular term for all arts music. And by what definition was Bach born during the Rococo? And you can't just say that classical=1800's, since there were so many different styles presented in that time (you know era does not always define style, and the history of art and music aren't isn'tsame at all points in history), like impressionism, modernism, neo-classicism etc..

  • @moltoallegro19 Classical is a movement during late 18th and early 19th century. It is followed by romanticism although it is also known as classical.

I've been taught by an orchestra director since a small child when playing piano, flute and harp as well as most other instruments composed of strings, air and especially keys.

  • @d3sired Wow, you've been thaught many instruments! Says nothing about yourknowledge in music history, though (or if you play any of those instruments well), and even if you had the best merits in music history: what you're saying is wrong.

I'm a classical music student (thaught since I was a child), playing the violin (greatly) and the piano (well) and many more (decently). I know my music history and the way you throw out those terms shows that you don't really know what you're talking about.

  • The glorification of the chosen one (rite of spring) Loved that part the most. Who conducted that piece and where did you buy it?

  • @whatevernice345 I know Igor Stravinky was the original composer, but who conducted this one? Was it Carlo Maria Giulini/Philharmonia Orchestra? Just wondering.

  • carl orff is a 100% the best

  • fart

  • I think somones been playing WAY to much Paradox's Victoria lol ! My girlfriend learned and hums all these songs when I play.

  • an excellent compilation!

  • first one reminds me of lion king...

  • 2 bad you didn't put anything of Stevan Stojanovic Mokranjac

  • It's a shame most of these pieces have been raped by commercials and what not.

  • @EwokPWNS I hate when people use 'rape' incorrectly.

  • @EwokPWNS don't forget tom and jerry XD

  • @EwokPWNS dude i totally agree. thats why commercials suck

  • @EwokPWNS its a shame if you are jelous of people listening to this beutiful music. I learned about these songs from comercials and I am proud of it. THird wolrd countries dont have opera houses or places to listen to this...

  • @EwokPWNS That's the only reason I tend to steer clear of most of the very famous composers. I can't listen to Verdi - Messa da Requiem - Dies Irae, Dies Illa without thinking of the X-Factor, and I FUCKING HATE that programme >:[

  • Excellent....... thats how I've been feeling lately!

  • DIES IRAE

    The words alone are spine-chilling.

  • what recording did you use for Carmina Burana?

  • Great video.. Wagner Stravinsky Mussorgsky.

  • My 19 would be Danse Infernale from Stravinski's Firebird.

  • Dvorak was partly used in the lord of the rings.... :D

At least it sounds like this.....

  • I am 16 years old and I love classical music, but I feel like I am the only one that does. It is a shame to see all this new age pop music nowadays. I do enjoy hardcore and things like, but this music is something I love and I don't know why :D

  • @MorphinMan33 is it important what others like?! does it make any difference for ur life and own taste who likes what?

  • @UrbanPurist lolwut. Don't talk to me.

  • @MorphinMan33 yea .. orders from u mean a lot to me. really.

  • @UrbanPurist Good.

  • @MorphinMan33 yea .. it would be real fuckin good if only people cared what u think

  • @UrbanPurist Good thing they do. :)

  • @MorphinMan33 yea u can clearly tell by the way ppl have been reacting to u so far. they all care so much for what u have to say. but hey, i dont wanna ruin the things u tell urself cause i think everybody needs a slight bit of self-esteem. if it makes u sleep better at night, keep telling urself that ur important and that people care about u. do me a favor and keep doin that for everyone's eyes to see, ur givin me my share of entertainment while ur at it.

  • @UrbanPurist You seem upset? lol.

  • @MorphinMan33 not upset. the word is entertained

  • @MorphinMan33 not upset. the word is entertained. if u look very very closely and if u check ur dictionary very very thoroughly u might find that there's a slight difference.

  • @UrbanPurist Ah okay didn't know. I will check now.

  • @MorphinMan33 im 15, your not the only one ;o

  • no mozart..fail..

  • MAGNIFICENT...GOOD BRIEF SELECTION FOR CLASSICAL NAME THAT TUNE IF YOU TURN DOWN YOUR SCREEN LIGHTING...MFB

  • @thepsychiatrist2 True that! I don't see why this guy is having a go at you for just speaking the truth. Europe as a whole has created some of the greatest music of all time and will still deliver! And well America has made.....

  • beethoven's fifth is my favourite masterpiece

  • lol shutup you little biget failures that came out of a dumpster on prom night. jesus if you're gonna use grammer use it the right way. all you kids make me "lol" like a fucking hiyena. and by the way any one who's dumb enough to start shit over the internet is a little punk ass bitch!!! I'm stating how dumb you kids are for christ sake shut up with this internet argument shit it gets old.

  • @thepsychiatrist2 Pish... You keep telling yourself that, but you know, deep down, that you're a lying piece of shit.

You just don't want to admit that you would ever be dumb enough to write two paragraphs about them on your profile... I mean... What Kinda of loser does that kind of thing? And also all those other paragraphs about people you likely think you "owned" in some kind of special Olympic internet fight? You are a pathetic human being. How about YOU grow up, and get a life too.

  • @thepsychiatrist2 HAHA! You're pathetic. You had two paragraphs talking about each one on your youtube profile when I made that comment but they aren't there anymore. Mysterious... I wonder if you just deleted them before you made this comment? Hmmm.....

Go back to watching High School Musical and listening to Miley Cyrus, you loser.

  • 7 is by Emerson Lake and Palmer.

15 can't hepl but think of Jabberwocky!

  • 7 is by Emerson Lake and Palmer.

  • @thepsychiatrist2 You do know the North America has more music than the shitty teeny bop out there, right? That shit is for kids. What are you doing listening to High School Musical and Miley Cyrus anyway? hahaha

    Dumbass

  • @nothing980454 Wow really he says he dislike north American music and you say he is listening to miley cirus and high school musical? Which comes from guess where?! Oh right, north america! Clever.....

  • @333liam I didn't just guess. He had written about them on his profile and that's why I said it. He wrote multiple paragraphs talking about how he had seen the movie, blah, blah and how much they sucked and bragging about arguments that he "won" on youtube with little kids on the subjects. Yes, I swear, he was really was, despite how unbelievably stupid that may sound. Of course, he has since deleted them from his profile since I brought it up.

I wouldn't make something like this up.

  • you've forgot carmina burana :O

  • Excellent selection......Verdi and Prokofiev master pieces.

  • To me number 1 is Wagner. Not just ride of the valkyries. The whole "Ring", Parsifal, Tristan, Meistersinger, Lohengrin, Fliegende Holländer and Tannhäuser. He is the ultimate master.

  • @happysleepymrchoi

    I should try that :)

  • yeah i dont know what it is, but all of a sudden i'm really starting to take a strong intrest into classical music

  • @TheSPEEZY99 haha same!

  • Wow i wish people my age would listen to classical music more than that pop stuff. I love classical music and i don't know why i like it, because i was brought up in a household that likes pop and things. I think people believe it is highly unusual for teens to appreciate great works of classical music like Mozart, Beethoven and Bach and so forth. However if you say you like classical music at school you tend to get bullied which is a bit of a bummer for people like me. :(

  • Put in "requiem for a dream"

  • Classical Music is great. Happy 240th Birthday to Beethoven.

  • U could put a flower or a baby in the background while listenin 2 #6 n id b scared as hell

Jupiter is the most beautiful orchestra piece in the world

  • Great video. BUT! There isn't a single piece of Mozart! What about some of Don Giovanni or his requiem!

  • Comment removed

  • love love lovvvvvvveeeeeee it

  • WOW Sandstrom's piece sounds like a horror movie. How about Also Sprach Zerathusta? You would probably like stuff from contemporary pieces by Arvo Part - give it a listen. Love most of these too, but sorry to say I've never gotten into Stravinsky - I call his confusion music.

  • Did you saw Death of Aase

    and Concerto nº2 Rachmaninoff?

    See it!

  • Not bad

  • How about the first movement of Richard Strauss's Death and Transfiguration? There's around 5-6 minutes of calmness first, but then it explodes.

  • super video thank you !

  • LOVE NUMBER 6.

  • #6 omg goosebumps @_@

  • Thank you for posting this list. I still havent found the one that I am looking for, it sounds almost majestic like an arabian prince making an entrance with elephants....lol i sound like im on something, anyway when I find it Ill post it, thank you again anyway because I found others that I was looking for.

  • Stravinsky's Sacrificial Dance would definitely have to be the most disturbing. Nice collection though.
