I noticed a few swimming in the air glitches before. My fav is going from Charmed ridge and saving Spyro's life and then going to Dino Mines and finding that unknown area.

while gliding, pull the analog stick backwards. or if you're meaning the little hop thingy at end of the glide, press triangle.

Wow... The glitches when you have to fly through specific trees or mountains can ne frustratingly hard. Good job on succeeding it! :D
