@jakervik Al Jazeera English (and Arabic, for that matter) streams live online on their website, YouTube, and a couple third-party sites as well. If you /want/ to watch it, you can pretty much no matter /where/ you are, so long as you've got a good internet connection.

By watching Al Jazeera you realize how BBC News is dominated by mainly UK and USA news, if they carry another Hilary Clinton press conference (PR broadcast) live, I will stop watching! The coverage of the Palestine Boat armada was far more balanced on Al Jazeera - the BBC just carried the Israeli provided film

Um, what the hell are you people talking about? That was passable (and I'm being generous) I guess but the BBC theme is so much better. The first 10 seconds were fine and I had high hopes and then it just became progressively crappier.

@Tallacori The beginning and end are probably all you'd ever really hear anyway on the actual network. The rest of it seems to be designed to play for however long it needs to under the voice of a reporter at the beginning of a program, leading back into the tagline at the end. It's like elevator music: just background noise that nobody's really meant to care too much about. Pretty much every news network has a theme like this, with a strong start and finish and a completely unremarkable middle.
