Dr Barnard wrote the book 'reversing diabeties'. He puts his patients on low fat, high carb vegan diet. Im reading it now, its a great book and easy for anyone to do.

As for Dave, what else does he eat besides green juice 24/7? Didn't he feel really ill on just greens? Where does he get his fat and proteins from? How does he feel satisfied?
@DivineFoods also tell Dave I am sending him love too. I think he is absolutely fabulous, such a huge eye opener. My Mum is a naturopath, but Dave really does show us all how its done. I have 100% respect for him. I just wonder how he will continue over the years.... will protein deficiency set in? I suppose he is just taking one day at a time. I am pride of him! I always look for vids with him on, I am his fan. He seems so humble and real, alot of raw foodists are nothing like Dave!
How about the thyroid and lots of dark green leafy vegetables, like spring greens, collards, kale, broccoli etc.. I felt awful when I was juicing this and started taking kelp and sodium to kinda resustitate me. I was continually hungry, wanting fats all the time. I would break out a nut binge. I felt weak and body literally burnt in pain.

some points:
Seaweeds are a good support for the thyroid.
You might wanna do a check of your thyroid to know what is going on and supplement correctly. (also blood analysis)
When juicing (and always ;-) as soon as you feel sth. is not good for you, leave it out. We are all different.
Also when going directly into leafy green vegetable juicing the body will detox ;-)
