How come there's no blackout on the pedestrian signal. (i.e the red man goes straight to the red man). Where I live after the green man goes out there's a period of no pedestrian signal before the red man comes on.

@Jlk2707 The green man will flash if it's a pedestrian crossing by itself somewhere. Those crossings have the flashing amber road signal and the flashing green pedestrian signal, which means 'road users give way to pedestrians on the crossing'. But this video shows a signal-controlled road junction, not a standalone pedestrian crossing, and junctions don't have the flashing amber signal.

it's a record of this particular traffic lights sequence, I did it because I'm documenting Stokes Croft over the years I'm here. Stokes Croft is a particularly interesting area of central Bristol and is where I live. Also some people have used it for educational purposes and you never know when they might be.
