Yes, the head collar is used to bring awareness to Dexter's face and to make contact with acupressure points that can decrease arousal as well. We are using a Gentle Leader in the video without the leash attached to it and I most often recommend the Halti or a Calming Band. For very reactive dogs, I will attach the leash at two points, one end on the head harness and one end on the body harness for security.

I notice for the final shot,the dog is wearing a head collar. Is that something that also decreases his arousal, or is it a safety item?
