@Rosewrayth You ever see Sister Street Fighter? Chop Socky movie with a lady lead... AND music by Shunsuke Kikuchi, the epic underappreciated musician who did the music for Dragon Ball Z and Tenchi in Tokyo. watch?v=FmhwO0RIepM Check that out. The opening credits thingie WITH SHUNSUKE KIKUCHI AWESOMENESS LEVELS OVER 9000!!... and the lead lady too...
Autistic children usually learn through visual stimulation, a kind of "monkey see, monkey do". This film hit the nail on the head in that respect.
JeeJa Yanin's acting was phenomenal in this film. This woman is a fantastic role model for young girls, because in reality she isn't violent, she doesn't hit anyone until they try to hurt her.
@lalalablair I know, it sounds silly, but, kios and "battle cries" are intended to intimidate or startle opponents. Speaking from experience, they work, too.
Storyline, acting, fight coerography, and representing autism very well since I have an autistic cousin I know. This movie gets a perfect 10/10 from me. Better then Ong-Bak and Tom Yum Goong put together.
Just saw this, basically it's pretty much like Pinkaew's other movies: lot of ass-kicking stunts and few dialogues. Still, it's nice to see a pretty tiny girl portray the main 'hero' instead of a muscular guy. The only downside to that is the action scenes don't look so intense anymore (imagine less powerful punches in kicks)
Fy Faen. Tenk på hvem som skal gifte seg med henne'a? hehe Men dette er første action filmen som jeg synes at det virker skikkelig bra. Trodde at hun var japanske, men nei, hun pratet jo sammen morsmål som meg. Flink jente!!!
Omfg!!!! I can't wait! This is gonna be so beyond sweet..oh yes. Come to Mama! If you think you might like this movie check out Onbak by the same director. Tony Jaa is bad ass. Forget Jet Li or Jackie Chan. This Thai kids know how to put it down!
HAHA what the fuck

Since this is a film the "real injuries" part puts me off :/ but apart from that it looks cool.
Anyone know of any other films with the main protagonist fighter being female?

I saw this movie today in Bangkok and it was really good. The whole cast put themselves through pain for your enjoyment! sick!
Watch Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong FIRST before this. A++ 5/5.
