  • i wish i could work there, T_T

  • Great stuff (information) Happy to have found your channel

  • She is a hottie.!

  • working at google would be awesome

    ...

can i get a thumbs up now?

  • @webguy943 Classes are by definition formal. And, there we go... you go into your worthless bullshit that you have some non-existent "experience" in programming, and that your eperience generalizes to the whole world. This proves that you cannot do creative hard work, because you have only done brainless thoughtless code-writing, and have never proven a math theorem in your life, let alone discovered one.

Research mathematician is the hardest job in the world, something you don't have.

  • I have a family member who hates her computer programming job at the NSA and wishes she could work at Google. I don't blame her for hating her job, for the mindless drudgery and zero value to society - ALL government jobs are gov't handouts and welfare - they just all differ in magnitude - but, come on - it's no different at google: more mindless boring programming..

  • Who ARE these paid actors?

Programming consists of hours and hours (per day), extending into months and year, hunting down and looking for a single command before one can proceed to the next step. I know. I've programmed in Fortran, C++, Java, Mathematics (Wolfram Research), Maple (MapleSoft), and Mathtype. 99.99% of my programming is in MS Word and Mathtype.

Math is infinitely better than programming. Just paper and pencil.

No time wasted battling a machine for years.

  • @mphello I doubt these actors are programmers at this stage. software engineers are concerned with the applications.

  • @mphello but math makes u a dull boy. -.- and plus, theoretical cs is just paper and pencil too. ;)

  • @webguy943 Actually, the opposite. Math blows away every other human activity in terms of difficulty, mental concentration, and making people creative and think.

Endless playing in fantasy (entertainment, making and playing video games) and computer programming make one dull. Math is just dull to you because you can't do the really hard original proofs.

  • @mphello sure y not. i can tell ur an old style programmer with no formal training in it. u prolly learned thru experience. those of us who were taught cs kno better tho. cs is a child of math, so in essence u really enjoy both and u dont even kno it. unless ur one of those low level programmers who r just given specs and just turn out code like a monkey, which u sound like. well in those cases, its more computer logic than math. to each his own i guess.

  • @webguy943 Wrong. I have had formal training (FORTRAN 1981, C++ 2005) in programming.

They were great courses. In fact, I had a lot of fun. And, programming requires formal training, in order to organize everything properly from the ground up. Same, too, with math. Problem is: once you step outside the classroom, there is no more use or place to apply what one learned in the classroom with cs. Completely the opposite with mathematics, which I create new applications and new models every day.

  • @mphello i wouldnt consider classes back in the 80s "formal". cs isn't about just programming. ur proving time and time again u dont have a clue what the essence of cs is. cs does exactly what say u enjoy, and yet u have no idea. lmao. yea u must be a low level code monkey that knos nothing, or u must be trolling me. either way, just a word of warning, dont talk like this to others who kno cs, cuz theyll laugh at u.

  • @webguy943 Bottom line: you've never done a day of work in your life. You have an easy life, living off the handouts and hard work of others. You've never even gone to school for cs. If you had, you would comprehend that school means "formal education".

You'd make a pretty big ass out of your self at a math conference.

  • @mphello yea ur trolling. u lost my respect. ur now pathetic to me.

  • @mphello As a fellow mathematician and programmer (C/C++, Assembly, . NET and a range of other things), its easy to make out that you are the dull black sheep, from your comments. People like you who say one field is better than the other are the ones who block out creative ideas and out of the box thinking. If you are that good in the field of maths, show me the papers you have published. As the old school guys from the Bronx say it, "take that punk ass bitch".

  • @denshaotoko89 what are you doing outta your train, densha otoko?

  • fuck that, i never want to work at google. Its batshit insane!

  • gmail sucks compared to yahoo mail

  • @tchen10 gettttt out of here, gmail is simple and so goddam effecient, and now with thier now phone??? you must be on crack.

  • wats this bitch doing out of kitchen?

  • why would you work for such low pay? I am a BSc graduate, started at a smal company(30 employees) and after one year on $55K. OK, no stock options, no real career path, but I roll in when I like(with in reason). ANd I get to do my own cool stuff as long as I get the core work done.

  • My personal experience is this. I went through a ridiculous long interview (over six weeks). First phone interview, then test, then 45 minute interview, then in house interview. They offered me a starting salary of 34 k per year, and I HAVE A PHD and post doctoral research!!!! That was ridiculously low and stupid. I refused, of course. HOWEVER; they did offer amazing perks and stock options. But I do know a couple of people who worked at Google and quit. It's not all cool as they sell it.

  • Don't be retarded. Starting salaries for engineers at Google are not NEARLY that high.

  • don't be so fucking idiot! You believe this bullshit, do you know that the salaries at google are ridiculously low?

  • Ya totally don't you hate there $175,000 a year Salaries?! It's hard to live of that huh?

  • For tydoskus: shut the fuck up you imbecile, you can't even spell. In a two line sentence you made tons of mistakes. You fat piece of shit you don't know what you're talking about

  • Tydoskus, with a spelling like that, you can't even work at Burger King.

  • Actually Google engineers make 112,573 with bonuses 20,000 - 50,000 more

  • do research.

  • A year... No way !

  • okay okay sure. i'm convinced. sign me up then. i'm ready to work for google now.

  • What a shame.

  • A year?

  • that's totally sexist. women only... sexist pigs! :P

  • notice she said she didnt have a 20% project. cause most people dont. notice she had to get the project approved. so u cant work on whatever you want, only what the company thinks will be profitable.

  • oh, so it's 20% Time to work on other GOOGLE projects. I thought they were being benevolent employers allowing their staff TRUE free-time to work on their OWN personal projects and ideas. Nice illusion weaving Google!

  • Well, they are at work. It's still a refreshing idea to know you can spend even 20% of your day working on your own ideas to better the company. That's something you don't see at many large corporations.

  • They're using their head, isn't it?

  • Is there a GME Mailing List?... Google Male Engineers Mailing List.

  • Yeah well she's at Google and not you :P

  • if you do implement neat features for gmail, pleasepleaseplease implement sorting mail by the sender (email or name). i'm a software engineer myself and this can't be much harder than just a nother order by clause. it will make thousands of peoples' lives sooo much easier, including mine. i might actually apply for a job at google, just to implement this feature :)

  • very cool!

  • nice!

  • I agree with kevsterma :D Google will rule in the future! >> they have a satellite!

  • How many couples can be between the workers ?? maybe they are planning do a new civilizacion ... is the google threat!!

  • I like this girl. Can I marry her? :)

  • ^^ lol

  • Google is grate

  • like what you use on cheese?

    idiot

  • working at google would be awesome

  • no mention of the 405/10 traffic?

  • what a geek lucky her.

  • go google

  • cool
