i love<3<3<3 oblivion spent at least 100+ hours in it beat the main mission and and half the side ones amazing game its only like $14 bucks so any one reading this should pick it up
i loved oblivion and i wanted to get in to fallout but when i beat the game i could not free roam i just had to go back to my last save that really sucked
i loved two worlds. its not a game thats about graphics. it needs time which is what the majority of the people that dislike it didnt give. if you dont mind not getting achievements put in some cheats. makes it even better. not to mention it has a pretty fun coop free roam.
i like those type of games where you could come across anything, just them games you could basicly get lost in, those ones u think about all the time, where ur one man alone in the wilderness, and then u can to citys where u can sneak inside ppls houses at nite, dispose of them and rob them, whilst at the same time u can be the pillar of a comunity and a trust worthy citizen that nobody really knows, like elder of scrolls but better, more dence, more dark, just better...

Lost Odyssey was alright, Infinite undiscovery kinda sucked, blue dragon looks terrible, Fallout 3 is awesome getting pretty addicted to it, I need more rpgs though. might buy eternal sonata. played the demo and seemed good enough.
The best RPG for xbox360 is Oblivion. I've been playing it for a couple of months, and I'm still not done with it! The world is so vast, and you can do pretty much anything! If you get tired of the storyline, you can just go somewhere else and start one of the thousands of side quests. Buy Oblivion if you want a really awesome RPG!
How is Last Remnant broken? The point in the game is to stay at a low level and get high stats and that's hard to do. It's an extremely difficult RPG with tons of depth and a great battle system that seems simple at first but ends up crazy complex. The only real bad point in this game is that it looks like an average looking Ps2 game and it still suffers from screen tear and lag but if you can get over that and are dedicated beyond its difficulty then you'll love it
I thought that two worlds was a good rpg mostly for its freedom and mounts but also for its armor sets and veriety of items. i also thought it was a good game becuase it deosnt have a lv cap i dont think (999999)and itmay be buggy but if u get stuck or watever u can always use a nuber of cheats so that u cna continue ur adventure.
omg im in the market for a new rpg for my 360 cause i have WAY too many shooters. im trying to choose between Star ocean(although it will be the first jrpg i've played), oblivion or fable 2 . Lost Odyssey is probably the best one in terms of production values, story, and overall quality. I really enjoyed Enchanted Arms, im a huge advocate for that game and for the 10$ you can find it form (used of course) i can't think of one reason why you shouldn't splurge :P
Blue Dragon's pretty good, so is Tales of Vespera. Also i'd take Star Ocean over Fable (shallow combat and story :/ ) and Oblivion (i'm not a huge western RPG fan but Bethesda's ones OVERWHELM me XD )
Fuck Phantasy Star!!! That shit is one of, if not, the worst game ever. It's fucking depressing playing that crap. I borrowed if from my a couple times only to see why people like the game.

They're both different games. But I would recommend Lost Odyssey more. It reminds you of the old Final Fantasy days. Expect the game to play like Final Fantasy III on the DS. Plus, the story is REALLY good. Star Ocean wasn't bad, but just so you know, I'm at 90 hours into the game and I still haven't beaten the bonus dungeon. The storyline was terrible, the voice acting sucks. Period, and it's way too long of a game. You'll spend way too much time on these 2 massive dungeons.
NO bro not at all lost odysessy is a medeocore game at best, well i guess it depends if youve ever played ff8 there very similar as far as game layout and the leveling up system is horriable (im 19 hrs and only on lvl 23 with at least 3 hr of straight training) but SOTLH is an execpitonal game fun great story hrs and hrs and hrs of extra game play but i suppose its all based on opinion try the demos and see which one you like more

yes they Invented the genre and just because the style seems different to you doesn't mean its bad... i suggest picking up a dictionary and looking up the word 'perspective'. without jrpgs Bethesda and Bioware would have no gameplay template to emulate (and expand on) and they would probably be fps clones so instead of being an ignorant xenophobe go play FF6 or Chrono Trigger and get fucking enlightened.
That guy said get Dragon Age and yes it's the same as kotor (pretty much) but if your PC is really weak I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind turning all the settings all the way down. If you want a loot fest diablo clone that's awesome and already has tons of worthy mods and only costs $20 that has unbelievably low requirements get Torchlight. Developers from Diablo I and II, Mythos, and Fate. Music is done by the main Diablo dude. Has infinite dungeon, pets, fishing, best of all LOOT

He said his PC was really weak and couldn't play a game that had way less requirements than Dragon Age, yet someone suggested Dragon age, Uhh? lol. But I think Dragon Age is one of the most addicting games I've played this year, and definitely one of the most emotionally engaging. I put like 180 hrs into it.
Sacred 2 ??? I wouldn't recommend that game to anyone. I hired it, played it for 30 mins and was sick of it. Glad I didnt take a gamble and buy that game without playin it first.
Are you new to rpgs? I would get Fable 2, since it is a much shorter game. Oblivion is great. However, Oblivion, can be overwhelming. There is just so much to do.
I completely agree with lotsofgames. Oblivion is copped full of stuff that may be too much to understand at once if you don't get the complete concept with Role playign games. It can be very advance.
Sorry for all the comments but if anyone here is any kind of a fan of baldur's gate and/or Bioware, and/or J.R.R. Tolkien's lore (Lord of the Rings), I would STRONGLY suggest Dragon Age: Origins. Epicness in that one (my opinion). From what I've seen so far, I guess my best option is to go and finish SO4. I just beat the 2nd boss before I traded it because I heard it was giving ppl RRoD, but it is the best real-time combat JRPG to me. Does it get better throughout? More awesome bosses?
I was just using that game as an example. And I didn't mean THAT particular game or any other game "causes" RROD. I should've been more specific. I meant that games that are really long or suck you in for many hours at a time as opposed to games you can play in short bursts tend to lead to RROD quicker because you put more hrs in a quicker amount of time than other games. "They say" if you play a lot of hrs at a time leads to RROD quicker than spreading the hrs apart.

The awesome amount and variety of loot in Too Human was great but I could not get used to attacking with the right thumbstick, I kept thinkin it was gonna rotate the camera so I traded it, reluctantly, because I loved the art and concept. I hear so many bad things about Infinite Undiscovery and the Last Remnant, but I'm such a fan of square made jrpgs, (FF series). All the fuss makes me not even want to try them. Btw, Mass Effect had a crazy epic ending worthy of George Lucas' approval to me.
I think I like Mass Effect, then Fallout 3 (with all DLC, 1250 GS on that one) then Lost Odyssey (RRoD happened in that one), Star Ocean: Last Hope, Oblivion was awesome but DAMN it was so long, I eventually tired of it (glitchy and froze a lot too,). But I must say I'm 54 hrs into Dragon Age: Origins and I'm lovin it. Haven't played Fable 2, loved first Fable though it was kinda short to me. Haven't played any others but I am trying to find another good RPG style game for 360, any pointers?

If your still wondering what to get Two Worlds or Fable 2, i would say get Fable 2 its a really fun game and has a tiny bit of co-op. Two worlds is very fun aswell but there are more bad points then good, for instance the framerate on the game is ver low at times which makes it "laggy" but apart from that its a fun game. All in all i would still reccomend Fable 2 more ;)

you said two worlds was horrible? i think it is a great game just gone overlooked an many people dont buy it because of what they here. i played the demo and loved it i also bought the game cheap. its graphics and voices might not be the best but i would give it a solid 8 out of 10
The only games that i have out of this list are Mass Effect (love that game, got 1050 gs for it) Sacred 2 (hated it) Fable 2 (fucking loved it) and Too Human (ok game). and kinda Eternal Sonata. I think role playing games needs more than a little more action and cooking food to be great again. Some has good story, but mostly they fail. few has cool characters, and most RPG games nowadays are too afraid of putting in good ideas I think. Guess not every game can be FF VII.
lol saw you said two worlds is bad and i have something to say.... when i saw it i thought it was a fail. played the demo wow boring.. but then heard from alot of my freinds that it was good,fun,co-op etc so i bought it for $17.00 used. suprisingly it was fun once you explored it more... houndreds of weps armour!! pretty much like oblivion with 4 player coop and mutiplayer. sure the animations were not the best and grafics were lacking but it was fun. cant wait till the next two worlds next year
sorry i've never played disgaea but lost odyssey is deffinitely the best traditional turn based rpg like final fantasy. its got the same basics as the pokemon battle, random encounters and you take turns but its got alot more strategy to it. you might like that if you like strategy rpg's but dont think that its a strategy rpg its traditional.
eternal sonata is also turn based but you can move around the battle screen freely and attack how you want in the time limit you have(have a look at a video on youtube to understand) and also you can charge up a meter to unleash very powerfull attacks and then chain them together with other characters special attacks. it is quite a simple rpg and very linear, their is no back tracking. but it is regarded as maybe the best jrpg on the 360. mayde someone else could reply who knows about disgaea

To me, those Japanese games aren't rpg's. A REAL rpg is like Oblivion, Fallout 3, Two Worlds, Mass Effect & Sacred 2. Not a story about a skinny japanese kid holding a sword bigger than his freaking body. Jesus, what are those japanese game developers thinking!!?

yes they Invented the genre and just because the style seems different to you doesn't mean its bad... i suggest picking up a dictionary and looking up the word 'perspective'. without jrpgs Bethesda and Bioware would have no gameplay template to emulate (and expand on) and they would probably be fps clones so instead of being an ignorant xenophobe go play FF6 or Chrono Trigger and get fucking enlightened.

When it was originally released it was rated "T" but shortly after the ESRB changed it after reviewing the amount of gore in the game.

That guy said get Dragon Age and yes it's the same as kotor (pretty much) but if your PC is really weak I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind turning all the settings all the way down. If you want a loot fest diablo clone that's awesome and already has tons of worthy mods and only costs $20 that has unbelievably low requirements get Torchlight. Developers from Diablo I and II, Mythos, and Fate. Music is done by the main Diablo dude. Has infinite dungeon, pets, fishing, best of all LOOT

Yeah I know, that last comment was a reply to another dude. He said his PC was really weak and couldn't play a game that had way less requirements than Dragon Age, yet someone suggested Dragon age, Uhh? lol. But I think Dragon Age is one of the most addicting games I've played this year, and definitely one of the most emotionally engaging. I put like 180 hrs into it.

Sacred 2 ??? I wouldn't recommend that game to anyone. I hired it, played it for 30 mins and was sick of it. Glad I didnt take a gamble and buy that game without playin it first.

Are you new to rpgs? I would get Fable 2, since it is a much shorter game. Oblivion is great. However, Oblivion, can be overwhelming. There is just so much to do.

Sorry for all the comments but if anyone here is any kind of a fan of baldur's gate and/or Bioware, and/or J.R.R. Tolkien's lore (Lord of the Rings), I would STRONGLY suggest Dragon Age: Origins. Epicness in that one (my opinion). From what I've seen so far, I guess my best option is to go and finish SO4. I just beat the 2nd boss before I traded it because I heard it was giving ppl RRoD, but it is the best real-time combat JRPG to me. Does it get better throughout? More awesome bosses?

I was just using that game as an example. And I didn't mean THAT particular game or any other game "causes" RROD. I should've been more specific. I meant that games that are really long or suck you in for many hours at a time as opposed to games you can play in short bursts tend to lead to RROD quicker because you put more hrs in a quicker amount of time than other games. "They say" if you play a lot of hrs at a time leads to RROD quicker than spreading the hrs apart.

The awesome amount and variety of loot in Too Human was great but I could not get used to attacking with the right thumbstick, I kept thinkin it was gonna rotate the camera so I traded it, reluctantly, because I loved the art and concept. I hear so many bad things about Infinite Undiscovery and the Last Remnant, but I'm such a fan of square made jrpgs, (FF series). All the fuss makes me not even want to try them. Btw, Mass Effect had a crazy epic ending worthy of George Lucas' approval to me.

I think I like Mass Effect, then Fallout 3 (with all DLC, 1250 GS on that one) then Lost Odyssey (RRoD happened in that one), Star Ocean: Last Hope, Oblivion was awesome but DAMN it was so long, I eventually tired of it (glitchy and froze a lot too,). But I must say I'm 54 hrs into Dragon Age: Origins and I'm lovin it. Haven't played Fable 2, loved first Fable though it was kinda short to me. Haven't played any others but I am trying to find another good RPG style game for 360, any pointers?

If your still wondering what to get Two Worlds or Fable 2, i would say get Fable 2 its a really fun game and has a tiny bit of co-op. Two worlds is very fun aswell but there are more bad points then good, for instance the framerate on the game is ver low at times which makes it "laggy" but apart from that its a fun game. All in all i would still reccomend Fable 2 more ;)

Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga was actually developed by Alpha Dream. Artoon developed Blinx for the original Xbox and a couple handheld Yoshi platformers.
Easy mistake, but you may want to add an annotation.

i like kh but i havent played it since 2003 so i dont remember its style but if u have a ps3 i suggest my favourite rpg disgaea 3 and if u have a 360 i suggest my second favorite rpg star ocean 4 it has awesome graphics awesome gameplay loads of weapons and devastating attacks and its very huge because it has 3 disks and disgaea i just like the awesome attacks but i definitely reccomend star ocean 4 watch some vids not gameplay videos hough vids of the last boss hope i helped you buying

He got a loads of good games there but I strongly suggest that Sacred 2 is for thoose who like worlds of warcraft and don't wanna pay for it and it's extremly huge! All the Asian videogames! Their nothing you should play for thoose who played Oblivion don't play fallout 3! It's bacicly the same only they blew oblivion 500yrs forward and it's very behind in all graphical ways compared to others ! Fable 2 Is lovely but short strongly suggest that u getthe expansions at the same time so u get 10h+

The only games that i have out of this list are Mass Effect (love that game, got 1050 gs for it) Sacred 2 (hated it) Fable 2 (fucking loved it) and Too Human (ok game). I want to get either Star Ocean or Tales of Vesperia. Can someone comment on which is better or if you have another RPG or JRPG thats good tell me please.

I´m sorry, but the only games here that I actually enjoyed playing was:
Fable II
Mass Effect
Blue Dragon
Overlord
Fallout III
and kinda Eternal Sonata. I think role playing games needs more than a little more action and cooking food to be great again. Some has good story, but mostly they fail. few has cool characters, and most RPG games nowadays are too afraid of putting in good ideas I think. Guess not every game can be FF VII.

lol saw you said two worlds is bad and i have something to say.... when i saw it i thought it was a fail. played the demo wow boring.. but then heard from alot of my freinds that it was good,fun,co-op etc so i bought it for $17.00 used. suprisingly it was fun once you explored it more... houndreds of weps armour!! pretty much like oblivion with 4 player coop and mutiplayer. sure the animations were not the best and grafics were lacking but it was fun. cant wait till the next two worlds next year

eternal sonata great jrpg, great characters, great fun battle, good story, too easy, too linear.
tales great jrpg, just got it i live in ireland, but great story, battle and characters.
lost odyssey great jrpg great characters turn based battle is great, superb story but didnt finish 4th disc wouldnt work for me!

sorry i've never played disgaea but lost odyssey is deffinitely the best traditional turn based rpg like final fantasy. its got the same basics as the pokemon battle, random encounters and you take turns but its got alot more strategy to it. you might like that if you like strategy rpg's but dont think that its a strategy rpg its traditional.

eternal sonata is also turn based but you can move around the battle screen freely and attack how you want in the time limit you have(have a look at a video on youtube to understand) and also you can charge up a meter to unleash very powerfull attacks and then chain them together with other characters special attacks. it is quite a simple rpg and very linear, their is no back tracking. but it is regarded as maybe the best jrpg on the 360. mayde someone else could reply who knows about disgaea
