It's apparent they don't know anything in physiology, flexibility, kinetics, and breathing. I just don't think she trains right or properly. I've seen several of her workouts and practice session and they look like play time. She did well in the 400m but was burned out which shouldn't happen. I wish I could coach her.

This race was a clear example of what you don't have to do while running the 200. Jeter hasn't yet the speed endurance to run this distance at the same level of the 100 and she has run the last 50 m on her knees, VCB has drastically unlearned how to run a good 200.

VCB has been a great champion since she started running, I was so upset when Shelly-Ann and the other young athletes were disrespecting her in the last WC. But VCB has always stood the test of times. I've never seen VCB passed in mid race and win. That was the run of a true champion. Sorry she didn't get the double though but good championships for her so far.

Yes this is great commentary. The Brits are known for great commentary but they should translate this into Athletics. VCB deserved it, of course. @Shamar1160 Well, Jeter is the second fastest women at 100 meters and she was inspired being World champion. And Felix was tired after the 400 meters heats and final. But so was VCB and Jeter after the 100 meters.

@babyxkande if you say Micheal is on steriods then i can also argue that usain bolt is also on steriods as well.Bolt broke the 200m record set by MJ,if bolt was drugfree then i bet he would neva have got closer to the record.The jamaicans always accused the americans for drug use but it seems their athletes are the ones running faster times now(bolt n blake).My question is how can the people you term as drug users are not running fast times again but the drugfree jamaicans are running fast times

@lnUter0 Also because in the last years female sprint lost a lot of consideration by media and maybe sponsors, i think at their times Ottey Torrence Brisco-Hooks etc were much more considered than VCB Jeter & Felix are today.
This race was a clear example of what you don't have to do while running the 200. Jeter hasn't yet the speed endurance to run this distance at the same level of the 100 and she has run the last 50 m on her knees, VCB has drastically unlearned how to run a good 200.

Did you hear Michael Johnson's bais comment about alison felix, when they are winning all is well but because she lost to VCB she didnt train properly as if they are the only ones training and they are the only runners on the track, this is a race, someone will win and someone will lose. when VCB lost this race for so many years and felix won it wasnt a problem, Damn these americans are so bias

This was by far one of the most exciting events for the entire championship. I think all these ladies should be commended for their individual efforts. I am a dedicated fan of VCB and will always be. But Felix, and Jeter did really well. So Congrats to Queen VCB and my hats off to the other ladies.

Honestly after many years of getting silver VCB deserves the gold.And we cant take anything away from Felix either,she is the three time champion in this events.This two women has graced the 200m events with style and beauty.And i also give credit to felix for leaving her comfort zone and trying the 400m as well,first ever she tried to double and did not go well,but she always gonna learn from this dissapiontment.Congrat to VCB

VCB has been a great champion since she started running, I was so upset when Shelly-Ann and the other young athletes were disrespecting her in the last WC. But VCB has always stood the test of times. SHe may not always win gold but she almost always gets a medal. I thought she had a shot at the doublle this year but the darn false start rule pressures you to sit in the blocks. Did you see how far behind VCB came to get the 100m silver? VCB- the best 200m female runner of all times!!. AWESOME!!

I know VCB would have won the 200m. I told my frenz tht she would have won the 100m too...only a pity she didn't get a good start. congrats to VCB, Sherone, Kerron and to all the athletes fron JA.Felix need to know the saying"craven choke puppy dawg" or"want all, lose all".She must not bite off more than she can chew. As for Jeter, she lucky in the 100 but she will never beat our VCB in the 200m. VCB full a top end speed.

I've never seen VCB passed in mid race and win. That was the run of a true champion. Sorry she didn't get the double though but good championships for her so far.

Well felix, after looking at brisco hooks she decided to do the double...and the result? bronze! Next time felix, young girl, stick to your strengths. If the 400 meters came AFTER the 200m then maybe she can execute it but not before. while some women like torrence, brisco hooks and perec can do doubles does not mean EVERYOTHER athlete can. Young felix, hope you have learnt the lesson.

Its best to stick to what you do best. Felix was greedy and unfortunately this set her back. Nothing wrong with wanting more but she should listen next time. She had silver for 400m and bronze for 200m. I was expecting her to win 400m but it went to the Botswanan.

Yes this is great commentary. The Brits are known for great commentary but they should translate this into Athletics. VCB deserved it, of course. It just goes to show that you should not give up untill the end. Felix was warned not to do double but as a the typical American stubborness came through.

VCB reminds me of my car a nice balance between acceleration and top end speed my k20 type r vtec with no turbo (dope) of coarse i get smoke from time 2 time but only by cars running boost and all kind of aftermarket things which is like doping 2 me.but i'm proud because my vtec is stock and never done anything 2 it,so when i see a corola boost 2 the max beat me i feel no way cause we all know a stock corola cant beat a stock type r unless you dope it.lol.."vtec that's what we tek"

No surprise watching this...I was rooting for Jeter, but, she's gotta learn how to run this f-ing 200M finally! I am proud she ran it the best we'd could possibly expect from her, however. VCB is simply the queen of the 200...to beat her, you've really got to bring it, and clearly, they weren't ready for her. I love that she is humbled by her win...good for VCB!
