@warspitejr You really want a joystick to fly In Battleground Europe. It's a sim and even if you CAN fly with the mouse and keyboard you really should use a joystick. The default key-bindings assume you have a joystick.
i finally got accepted to crew a 111 (german bomber) and all i did was I followed the pilots directions, i was very nervous, then they were singing my praises for causing %40 damage to a factory. it was pretty cool and felt really epic on the long return home. really neat change from infantry. like an entirely different game.
That is exactly what I was wondering and that is why I haven't been able to hit anything. I was looking at the sight wrong because I wasn't sure what was considered the "cross hairs" so to speak. Thanks for the help and good choice of music..it fits ;)
Blen 1 dive bomber mostly, sunk a bunch of Type 1934's with blen 1 which people find hard to believe.
I tried to use the Blen 5 the same way, but it won't release the bombs the same way. Never made sense since they hold their bombs the same way, no bomb bay doors.
In Blen 4 only Crew Member #2 can release the bombs. If you like to waste ALL bombs in ONE drop you can release the bombs from pilot position if you use the "jettison" feature (look for key in keymapper).
The two heavy bombs on the Blen 4 are the best Allied bombs in game atm.
bombing is somthingi think i would good at, only problem is getting to level 3 airman, im nearly useless at dogfighting and it seems to be the only way to level up
Nice...learned to bomb accurately with blen on my own in only 2. I used your waypoint method approaching the target..but i go into pilot view..aim with the mg..and line up the AB/town/FB with the aimer (aiming it to the left a little) and accurate drop. Though, it may not work at high lvl bombing.
if you can next time you have a massive air raid, post in a video. i'm sure evryone would want to see a video of paradrop, bombing or whatever. (by massive i call it +20 bombers or transports)
some one has to make a video of paratroopers!!If this game worked for me i'd either be pilot(fighter or bomber) or a paratrooper!!but the game doesn't work for me :'(
I am downloading the game as we speak. I had the first edition of WW2 blitzkrieg and the game was so freaking bad I never played it again. By the time the game was good, my computer was obsolete, so there goes that. Years later here I am again. Can't wait to play it.

ok one probelm with this- you can bomb from 7000 FT because the altitude setting for bombadier sight only reaches 6000

@leemyster2 it was probably shrapnel that hit it, the shrapnel on the larger bombs goes really far.

which part is the sight you want the target to be on? Tip of the triangle or inside the triangle at the top?

Had to think a while there... I'm not sure I understand you but if you're talking about that black triangle you're looking at the wrong place:
On Blen4 and RAF Havoc the sight is at the tip of the two white needles inside the white upside-down "horse shoe" to the right of the altitude scale.

You need to press "Show Vehicle Status" button to view current bombsight setting. (Check keymapper)
All speed dials in the aircrafts show IAS. Indicated Air Speed.

I got a video like that..its quite long..2 parts. Had 30+ bombers go into seperate sweeps than join up together to bomb a factory. 3 hour trip.
