You just need to make sure your computer has bluetooth. Also you need to get a Nintendo Wii remote, an IR LED and battery. See description for link to get software. That's it.

Looks like you might need a ladder for that monster bro! lol. For a more natural multi-touch surface... you might try using an FTIR or DI setup. I had a good time making mine and you already have the most expensive parts to make one. You can find a detailed breakdown on a multi-touch table, and the construction of most (if not all) of the components at Seth Sandler's blog. There are a lot of ways to do this - one is the WiiMote hack, one is the computer vision, which I used, another is the smartboard which I would imagine one of that size is damn expensive, etc.

@freakinggreatist Maybe it is a fake however there is nothing to suggest it. I have done something like this. I was fricking complicated. I had an HD webcam pointed at it at an angle and used OpenCV to straighten the image and then process where my finger was. The program visually tracked a finger and when contact was seen it forwarded the position to a virtual mouse. However it was not windows based, I used Ubuntu.

My boyfriend made a portable touch screen using red light and diodes instead of cameras. works much better than with cameras because then you can make it as flat as you wish and the color is not so transparent, also its more sensitive and precise when you touch =)

It's actually really easy to do. First you attach a wii remote to the projector, connect the wii remote to your computer via bluetooth, run a small program to convert input from the remote into mouse input, and make a small infrared LED touch pen or fingertip emitter. The IR device makes a small invisible dot that the wii remote can see and transmit to the computer to tell where it is in relation to the screen. Since the emitter uses infrared light it is invisible to the eye.
